Acidic Alcohol soak? Options

Would it be possible to soak MHRB in ~ 70% acidified iso alcohol rather than cooking it in water? Would another alcohol be better?

I'm interested in adding sodium into solution to boost yield, and was considering using phosphoric acid rather than acetic acid to push the alkaloids out better. (Poor language, I know.)

Is this a viable approach?
