I'm new to this forum, but not new to ethnobotany/entheobotany as I've been involved on another forum for over 10 years. Most of my interest has been in research - I love trawling through journals for clues about plants or substances that are new (or old and forgotten). That said I have a little experience with 'shrooms and once had a full hyper-spacial breakthrough on Salvia. I'm a passable gardener and once spring hits here I'll be setting the vine loose in my backyard Smile

I'm doing a PhD in Philosophy, so thinking to the point of over-analysis is kind of my thing and this is both good and bad. As I get closer to the end of this part of my life I'm really looking forward to letting go a bit and having some new experiences. Against all apparent evidence I still believe that things can be different if we all just stop and think a bit more about what we are doing and why we are doing it. I also think there is a lot more to existence than it seems. Life is amazing.

More recently I've become very interested in the ideas and practice of Mindfulness. Even doing something like a body-scan meditation I have had glimpses of a state that I find hard to describe. As well as being intriguing it's good for my sanity too. Mindful observation is a very powerful tool.

Anyway I'm looking forward to broadening my horizons here and in the 'real' world.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!
