Hi all.
Im Ios from Mildura Australia and have recently returned from a trip to Peru where I went specifically to experience Ayahuasca and Huachuma (San Pedro/Peruvian Torch) and am glad to report that this is something ive been searching for my whole life.
Broadly I have been in search of the true nature of reality and the meaning to life for a very long time and now believe that this is the key.
I look forward to investigating this further but living in Australia is somewhat unfortunate in this regard owing to its tyrannical crackdown on all DMT producing plants infact all plant teachers, I suspect this is related to a plan to suppress human spirituality and progress. I hope to meet people of like mind and look forward to exploring the boundaries of reality further.

Lucky you! Ios wrote:Australia is somewhat unfortunate in this regard owing to its tyrannical crackdown on all DMT producing plants Ouch! I did not know it was so bad. I thought the Acacia was native to Australia. Ios wrote:I suspect this is related to a plan to suppress human spirituality and progress Possibly. But as Terrence McKenna says: (ultimately) "...the plants will win". Anyway, I think the attitude section here is against conspiracy theories....so you could tell us you saw the Nazca Lines but not give an opinion that they are landing strips for alien spaceships ![Laughing](/forum/images/emoticons/laughing.png) Did you see the lines? Hello Ios. It would be impossible to crack down on DMT in Australia. I heard rumors of this but in fact DMT (the active ingredient in Ayahuasca) is everywhere. We (yes I too am in aus) have over 1000 species of Acacia in Australia of which only about 10% have been researched. About 5 active stains are very common indeed. If not in your immediate area, a trip to the desert will help you identify some, with the help of the acacia threads here. Acacia Accuminata is easy to grow from seedling and available from most native garden centres. Also, the young twigs of this strain (thin phyllode/small seeded variety) have been found to contain as much DMT as older bark. Meet nenn and Acacian in the acacia threads Regards gowpen One can never cross the ocean without the Courage to lose sight of the shore

Hey there What a Substance and Gowpen - yes I was mainly in the Cusco and Lake Titicaca area of Peru and Bolivia didnt see the Nazca lines but will go back one day and see them - so much going on over there its hard to see it all - interesting the Ancient ruins especially the pre inca stones at Chavin showing their deity holding a San Pedro cactus in his hands. Thanks for the advisory re the attitude section I have read part of it but will make sure I go through the whole lot before posting much more. On the Acacia this is good news indeed and despite the Australian government banning 80% of our native plants there is nothing surer that the plants will indeed win ![Very happy](/forum/images/emoticons/grin.png) Where I live in Oz is on the edge of the desert so im sure there are acacias around here and ill have to do some homework on whats around where - a lot of info on here that will no doubt take some time to go through but im sure ill get there eventually ![Very happy](/forum/images/emoticons/grin.png)

There's a lot of Acacia Burkitti near you (well, 50-100km drive...compared to my locale, that's close).

Acacia in my yard - any ideas on what it is? Nup not letting me upload pics "There has been a serious error loading the forum. No further information is available. Please contact the administrator if this message persists." I did however find a pic on another thread that looks similar to it re leaf size/shape and the look of the flower pods ![](/forum/FileProxy.ashx?src=https://www.dmt-nexus.me/forum/resource.ashx?a=13957)

hey mate another aussie here from the queeny land welcome aboard, just about these laws you should be fine especially with growing cacti as long as you don't have any prepared material for consumption ![Thumbs up](/forum/images/emoticons/thumbsup.png) . I know from experience having a hundred plus cacti about a quarter of which are tricho's/echinopsis depending on what floats ya boat haha. So if you plan on admiring these beautiful cacti cousins of ours i would definitely suggest growing a few. Also as far as what ive been told you should also be able to grow psychotria and caapi no worries as well as long as you don't have prepared material and only live plants ![Smile](/forum/images/emoticons/smile.png) hope ive helped

Hey there Newageshaman - yes my encounter with the Grandfather was very nice, Peruvian Torch apparently and if its available in Oz Id love to grow some, found a place in Sydney that sells them and San Pedro.
Not sure how Caapi and Ayahuasca would grow here (im in Mildura on the Vic/NSW border) basicly on the edge of the desert but from what im hearing perhaps something can be substituted with Acacia extract, although Mother Ayauasca I assume wont be there but will mother Acacia?
Very interesting all this and im very glad that other Aussies are on the same path as myself, im not sure where all this will lead but I have a strong feeling ive been looking for this for a long time and that Peru may have been just an introduction?

It all depends on how much space you can set aside for growing your sacred plants, cause you could set up a mini greenhouse to give them perfect conditions if you have the space.
That's amazing, I've read a bit about San pedro and how it's used in ritual form from a few of Ross Heavens books. They are alright for what they are and have a few different myths that are associated with its use and the plants spirit as well as a bunch of reports of his ceremonies with different curanderos/curanderas as well as ceremonies his conducted himself .

Yes there is a whole religion based around Huachuma (San Pedro Cactus) and the temple complex at Chavin dating to 3000 BC indicates that this is very old indeed - they call the cactus spirit the Grandfather - he is very gentle unlike Mother Ayahuasca who will slam someone in the door if they are not completely open - the Grandfather they say likes to visit his Grandchildren and likes to stay a very long time - one ceremony I had in the sacred valley with Sergey the effects lasted 18 hours - amazing stuff - although a little zany when trying to get yourself on a bus and back to Cuzco when you cant speak Spanish ![Very happy](/forum/images/emoticons/grin.png)

This is an interesting site about Huachuma http://www.biopark.org/peru/huachuma.html and its surrounding belief structure - apparently the Grandfather wants to come to Australia!
