Those repeat threads get annoying.

The shroomery has a section at the bottom that displays threads that are similar to the thread you are reading. I was thinking that when a new user decides to post a new thread whatever is typed into the topic field could be cross referenced, like how the search function operates, to popup a list of threads that may be the same question that they are asking before allowin them to post. Asking them: Had your question been asked before? With a warning not to post topics that already exist.

Or some sort of thing like that. I know your busy trav so just wondering what you think as well as others.
