I think the Nexus might appreciate this:

Yep, Flying Lotus is a DMT user, and he also does astral projections, he told The Guardian.

I go to a lot of EDM shows & saw Fly-Lo not too long ago, fun but not well defined. A combination of danceable music, psychedelic light show with some hip hop sprinkled in. He's a solid artist and i hope he will get a bit more focused rather than try to be a crossover act.

I was tripping on 2000 ug of 25i-nbome, my preferred concert enhancement Smile his '3D' visuals were unique and entertaining. Will go again the next time he comes to town.

That is a great video. Hadn't seen it yet. Thanks for sharing.

Haha, its ok. Amazing was Amon Tobin ISAM 2.0, STS9 or Bassnectar. Skrillex's Cell setup was super cool also. They are doing amazing things in the EDM world for visuals and overall experience.

tipper visuals..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXJNcquq3js

Really looking forward to see what the new Immersion tour w/ Basenectar, Koan Sound & Andreilien (Heyoka) looks like.

"Bass music connoisseur Lorin Ashton a.k.a. Bassnectar is kicking off the second half of the year with a boom, announcing his Immersive Music Tour 2013. Dropping bombs over 17 locations (including headlining Mountain Oasis fest in NC), the Bassnectar camp aims to bring the most extensive production to date, immersing the crowd in low-end frequency and ethereal visuals to create an out-of-this-world experience.

"Our goal is to bring you the most immersive Bassnectar experience possible this fall with enhanced production, enhanced ambassador immersion, and an alphabet of special effects. We want to create the ideal atmosphere for people to lose themselves in the depths of music, like a journey into another world", Bassnectar says."

Very happy

that's a stretch, more than bieber claiming to be "the kurt cobain of my generation".
don't get me wrong, steven ellison is a phenomenal producer (I've been tuned in to his music since '06), but he's no jimi.

Bieber kurt cobain bahahahhaa he wishes feck and agree on jimi being unique and untouchable but love flying lotus's jazzy abstract vibes so trippy, actually watched that vid yesterday, seen it a while back too. I wish there were tutorials on how to get those sounds, I mess around and well a big mess comes out haha I don't know much if anything about musical theory I just love those sick abstract sounds.

it's all in the arrangement of the sounds (production), and having a keen ear for consonance
in tonalities, and harmonics/resonance. don't need to have a music degree, just a lot of motivation/time to devote to it, and even more inspiration.

prefuse73 had some side projects as savath y savalas, which is what flylo's latest compositions sort of remind me of

Aye cheers, just those thick sounds they get I struggle to recreate. I'm in a production group and everyone's to make an ep by October I think and been listening to a lot of break core and flying lotus esque stuff like kid606, Luke vibert, bong ra etc. for inspiration and well It can be pretty frustrating. Steve Martin said obsession is a good substitute for talent and well I'm obsessed but it still sounds shit lol
