So a little about myself, a lot of drug experiences but not nearly as experienced with psychedelics as I want to be. I used to be a heroin addict but have been shown there is so much more out there by psychedelics and want to explore them more. DMT has shown me a lot and I hope to learn as much as I can about it with the help of the members of this amazing site.

Good to meet you mrschu2. Welcome to the Nexus.

I'm very glad you were able to escape the opiates. I used to be a junkie as well. DMT personally helped me see opiates as a lonely and filthy infantile security blanket. I don't have so much of the dangerous temptation to do it again.

A great thing about recovery is after a while without dope, you start to realize how subtly and invasively that it made your sober life worse, and life without using it is better then life with.

I'd just be careful to take psychedelics as an occasional lesson, too frequent use can cause tough experiences. It's good to be comfortable with sober life. I don't want to come across as preachy or trite though, you had success with stopping, one of the hardest things in the world to do, so I have confidence that you can handle yourself.
