This is a great song for a bunch of reasons (and I'm not really a Shpongle fan). Firstly, it starts with the music box lullaby kind of music that I've heard in hyperspace. Then the trippy voice quickly moves on to talk about holographic pyramids behind closed eyelids - which was what my first Egyptian experience was. Towards the end, the rhythmic manipulation and modulation he does to his voice really reminds me of the style with which some of these abstract entities like to communicate. Their arrhythmic telepathic communications are just about as odd as their confusing yet ordered geometries.
"Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind" - Albert Einstein

"The Mighty One appears, the horizon shines. Atum appears on the smell of his censing, the Sunshine- god has risen in the sky, the Mansion of the pyramidion is in joy and all its inmates are assembled, a voice calls out within the shrine, shouting reverberates around the Netherworld." - Egyptian Book of the Dead

"Man fears time, but time fears the Pyramids" - 9th century Arab proverb

Hello River of Thoughts,

I'm definitely ready for the new album!
Couldn't be more excited and it will further complete trips to hyperspace! (as Shpongle always has)
Eager to hear what the new album has in store at the end of July!

I like the dark, eerie, mysterious feeling it brings.

Reminds me of a spice journey.

I hate to say it, but this song left me feeling underwhelmed. And I'm a BIG Shpongle fan....
It sounds sooo familiar, nothing new, like bits and pieces from their older songs glued together.

Maybe I have to give it a couple of more listenings, dunno.

That said, I will buy their album cause I kind of feel guilty for never buying any of their previous records. Embarrased

I even bought tickets for their live performance in London, really excited about that! Smile

There was a post on Simon's facebook a few days ago, showing how he was making a certain song and how many layers were used just for that one song. Really amazing. Can't wait for the album.

Simon was nice and released it already. If you have pre-ordered it click on Live Receipt in your email and download it! I haven't listened to it yet. I want to trip and listen to it with virgin ears. Tomorrow is the day!

Shpongle meh, idk if i will like this to much, feels like they are stuck in the sound that made them dough or something.

Really loved their sound when i was younger but i think they should just do something new or nothing...

Feels like they will go the way of infected mushroom soon.

YES! Looking forward to this! Hope he brings the heat. Personally I haven't gotten into the most recent stuff but of course i have it. There are some serious gems in his catalog though. Dude is a fucking new age amadeus!

Simon has made memories for me that I will NEVER forget. And to think I stumbled upon him totally by accident through some bizarre coincidence a long time ago when i scoffed at electronic production and wanted nothing to with that MMMTICKA Techno b.s.Shpongle changed my mind on that issue and seeing as though I do alot of recording/production myself, I have quite the sincere appreciation for his amazingness.

At times i feel like he is orchestrating an entire city, or a landscape or something. hard to explain but the depth is absolutely absurd and unheard of for the most part.
