So A few days ago, I had successfully extracted a purrty good amount of DMT using a common Tek. Like in most teks, the final stage of extracting the DMT is to freeze precipitate it, or allow the NPS + dissolved DMT to sit in your freezer.

Well I had done this, without any cover over the glass pan or anything. A few days later, I go to my freezer and carefully pull out 2 Eggo brand Waffles. A quick pop into the toaster and I had a midnight snack.

I eat very viciously so it took me until the 2nd waffle before I noticed something fishy - the smell of lighter fluid was lingering in my mouth and nostrils. That's when I realized the horrible truth. The volatile naptha being exposed to the contents of the freezer, spread out and absorbed into whatever carbohydrates it could find. My food had been contaminated!

Worried about the safety of the rest of this meal, and outright disturbed by the taste of fuel, I properly tossed the rest of the Eggo brand Waffle, and got my stomach pumped, just to be on the safe side.

Does anyone think that a small quantity of naptha can really harm your body at all? I'm sure I've inhaled more fumes than I had eaten. And tip noted, always cover your freezing dish with something so the fumes don't escape.
Everything said by this profile is fictional and not to be taken as fact.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

I use a sealable pyrex dish but even with that I give it a double wrap of foil prior to freeze precip..

This helps create a better seal and possibly even assist in lowering the temperature of the NPS inside the dish.

The small amount it seems you consumed probably would do very little damage if it was just a one-off occurrence. Very small amounts of strong solvents can produce quite a lot of taste and smell, and some people are more sensitive to them than others, and effects are usually very obvious for those who are worse affected, but this is usually because of inhalation, not oral ingestion.

Since I'm not a doctor here's something a little more official (http://www.chop.edu/service/poison-control-center/resources-for-families/hydrocarbons.html) :

If a hydrocarbon misses the airway and reaches the stomach, there is very little risk of harm. The stomach does not absorb hydrocarbons. In the worst case, swallowing hydrocarbons causes nausea, mild stomach discomfort and belching. The hydrocarbon will pass harmlessly through the bowels. Aspirating hydrocarbons causes more problems than swallowing them. Do not induce vomiting because you don't want to increase the risk of aspiration. Just offer a sip of water or juice to drink. The poison center will monitor the patient at home for 24 hours to be sure the signs of aspiration do not occur.
