So I have been looking at lighters a lot and see a lot of disagreement. The turboflame arc lighter a lot of people recommend seems to have issues after some length of time. I saw a couple people mention the vector volt which has a lifetime warranty and costs around $25 dollars.

Has anyone tried this lighter and do they recommend it? Personally, so far a bic lighter has been working wonderfully, but soon I will be venturing to the Rocky Mountains and need something windproof!

...Btw I am using a GVG. I have a vector nitro for my cannabis smoking and it is way to powerful. Anyways is the vector volt recommended by anyone who has used it?

just an update for any interested I received the lighter via amazon.com and couldn't be happier. The lighter is well built, and it is the perfect strength/ temperature for vaporization in conjunction with the GVG. It cost $25, also if anything happens to it I will be sure to update. I recommend you check this lighter out.

Thank you for this information.

One question: Can you also hold that lighter upside down and that it keeps flaming like with the arc?

Kind regards,

Due to the angle of the nozzle you dont really need to hold it upside down, but I have moved it around aimed at many different angles in respect to my GVG and have had no problems so far. It is very comfortable to hold while vaporizing. In fact I had the revelation while vaporizing that entities made this lighter so we could contact them easily. ahahaha.

I will update if it I get anything but optimal efficiency from this lighter.

Just tested ignition from all angles= no problems

Thank you for the extra information. It sounds like a pretty good lighter then. I will order one and see how it stacks up.

The strong part about the arc is that you can use it in any angle. So that means you can smoke the GVG upside down while laying in bed for example.

The arc is not without it's own flaws though. It is often too low a flame to stay alive and when you boost it (by removing the bottom and screwing forcibly too far) it will stay on for some seconds after you close the lit.

So it would be nice if there was a better lighter than the arc available.

Kind regards,

Well I never used the arc so I can't compare with it. I have used lots of other torches though, some high quality ones, this is my favorite.I did quite a bit of research before purchasing. You could use this hanging upside down from a tree if you wishRazz

There seems to be a screw on the bottom for flame adjustment, although the preset flame seems perfect to me.

Please let me know how it stacks up, if you judge the arc to be better I'll have to pick one of those up instead.

Hello,

About the lighter, i"m not saying that it isn't a good lighter but i just want to point out that you can buy really good and very cheap lighters on deal extreme as i found out myself. For 8$ i got 3 of these http://dx.com/p/jet-1300-c-butane-lighter-1320.
Works like a charm for me and is alot cheaper free shipping by the way.

Greetings

...link isn't working for me. Also, I have used cheap lighters in the past and they die out after a couple months max. I'm looking for one lighter to use for years ideally.
