It Began,
Irresponsibly in 1997, I was introduced to DMT for first time. I was well tenured with LSD, Ecstasy, and Psylicibin since '94 yet took a break from psychedllics while in Military.

I found myself shaking as if miserably cold yet feeling no physical sense at all. I stared into carpet for what seemed hours, days, weeks, only to discover 3 minutes past and I might endure this sensation for 15 minutes more to come. Repeated in my mind like a mantra, "As the atom, so is the universe" while an apartment living room took on the dimensions of a football field. Friends in room although the same appeared alien, and details of room changed as if shifting through parallel versions of reality. "I could've sworn that plant was near the dining room, now its by the television.. Why does that unicorn poster keep creeping closer?"

Certainly not my "breakthrough" moment, yet feel it is worth posting since so many here seem discouraged their trips are not "breakthroughs" to hyperspace. My first walk away from experience was, "Which version of the room was real? Did I just peer into parallel realities?"

It was disturbing and spent next eight hours laying in bed listening to Brian Wilson's "Your Imagination" on loop while I put Humpty Dumpty back together again. A practice that would later turn into an after-trip ritual.
To believe is to be left behind in an obscure frame of mind. Continue to dismantle and re-assimilate thoughts.
