..so, post here any powerful art/music/literature statements against war..
there have been many..

two movies, which really need to be seen in full, that stand out for me are:

"The Thin Red Line" (1988 - dir. Terence Malik) based on the book by James Jones

"..all over real estate.."

"Paths of Glory" (1961 - dir. Stanley Kubrick)

and, of the many anti-war pieces of music, i'll throw in..

given the previous decade, as a species we need to express why war is a bad idea most of the time..

This can also be seen on youtube, though it's not for the faint of heart, so I'll refrain from linking to it.

This image more than any really captures my imagination. I mean burning yourself? In the video he just sits there and burns...doesn't flinch. It's uncanny, almost surreal. Rattles the old nervers.

If your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.

I "uhm'd & ah'd" a bit about this before posting and thought the image would be best for the exact same reason.

First time I saw this (many moons ago now) it instantly seared into my heart and mind as a foundation for so many principles.
