There's an acacia tree that grows next to where I live. Can anyone tell me what kind it is?

afaik there is nothing known about the psychoactivity of these plants.

so if you are determined, you could probably start with some colorimetric reagants, or TLC.

maybe nen888 has some info in regards to its activity (this is the second delonix posted on this forum this week)

It is Delonix Regia. Beautiful tree, easy and fast to start from seed. Bark, leaves and flowers extracts have medicinal properties - anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial uses among others with no known toxicity, but there's no reports of psychoactivity.
