I plan on growing both Khat and Kratom this summer to try both of their effects. I was wondering if anyone has tried either, or both, that could share some insight into their effects. I have done many searches and most just say they are both stimulants that cause euphoria.

Kratom is more sedating and analgesic.

Khat is very stimulating and almost drunken euphoria.

Id love to know how you get on FatCat as I have five khat seeds but just havent got round to trying to germinate them. At low doses kratom can be quite stimulating, but in my limited experience of it its very subtle, people do tend to use it more for the sedating effects, which I didnt like at all, think I may have took too much though, im not into opiates though.

Khat is a great plant which I used to use quite reguarly, had some on Sunday, that was the first time in a couple of months. It makes you really sociable and chatty and can be great for a night out or a night of chatting with friends, sometimes when ive been chewing during the day then Ill have a couple of drinks with my girlfriend I end up having these really deep conversations about things, isnt just the alcohol, great social plant and hopefully ill get off my bum and get some on the go this summer. Ive heard when its fresh it can be a mild psychedelic, good for people who arent into psychedelics, apparantly. I get it from the local somali Khat shop, cool dudes Cool

Shocking, I heard that a couple of weeks ago. I heard the ethiopians yemenese and somalis couldnt beleive this plant that they know far more about than the people making it illegal is illegal. To them its like banning tea or coffee. In somalia no one really drinks alcohol, it is a muslim country, but smoke lots of weed chew khat and take kanna. Alcohols a lot worse than these things.

Apparantly the somali woman wanted it banned though because it increases sperm count and the men would just sit around chewing all day and making lots of children. It can be addictive, ive seen some people who are messed up on it, but to ban a plant that they use like tea or coffeee is wrong, the people who get messed up on it are in the minority, the ones ive met. Governments like banning plants though dont they Mad

I'd call is pseudo-illegal.

From what I gather it's really illegal in Canada. I am much more excited to try the Khat now than the kratom. I have a huge garden so I'm not really afraid of anyone being able to tell what anything is.

khat is a serious stimulant - kratom is chilled out - swim has tried both lots and reccomends both highly.
