I have a load of whole bark which I bought about years ago when I was first interested in spice extraction. I later got powdered and never used it.

Now I am short of cash and want to do another extraction. I wonder if I can do an acid boil of whole strips of bark, and then continue with the BLAB tek that I did a few times before?

Any tips much appreciated!

I also have some Chali leaves I could use too...

This is a bit late, but if you haven't tried yet I'd say cut it up as small as you can with some strong scissors, then freeze/thaw it two times in an acidic solution before boiling. The freeze/thaw should theoretically break all the cell walls and give similar results to powdered bark.
