This is gonna be my first post at nexus and I really wanted to thank you people for the wonderful
Work being done at the nexus. I am from the eastern part of India and found this tree to be growing abundantly
Everywhere. Since there are not many spice extractors from my region I had a hard time finding any info about this
Tree. If any of you can shed some light on this plant and whether it's a viable source it would be really appreciated

Also am posting some pics of crystals I got using a food grade extraction of kattha (extract of heartwood of acacia catechu)
Which is used in Indian paan preparations. Would it be safe to bioassay it?
I read somewhere that acacia catechu contains cyanogenic compounds, is this true?
