caffeine MAOI contraindication Options

SWIM was planning on going camping and taking a small (10-15mg DMT) amount of pharmahuasca with his girlfriend today, but she goofed and had half a cup of coffee this morning. Since she's on the pill, the half life of caffeine should be 5-10 hours which is long after SWIM planned on taking it.

I know the cheese thing is over blown (both from reading and personal experience) when dealing with Reversible Inhibitors of Monoamine A (RIMA) as opposed to the hardcore MAOIs, but is caffeine a big deal with RIMAs?

This probably means SWIM and his girl have to call off the pharmahuasca bit, but if anyone has experience saying that it's OK and can respond soon, that'd be awesome

The same applys for coffe, regarding my personal experience ! It`s not a big deal! I already drank coffe in the morning and drank some Ayahuasca 2 hours later or even closer, no problem at all.....

Your girfriend should be fine as long as you`re going to use reversible MAOI`s.

SWIM often drinks coffee during pharmahuasca for an extra kick right after the peak. The coffee is a tab bit more potent, but that's it. The combination is fine.

Thanks for the responses. SWIM and his girl went ahead with the plan and there were no ill effects. It was more subtle than expected (~.17mg/kg dmt with ~1.7mg/kg harmine), but still really fun.
