Hey Nexus, so i recently did my first own extraction, about a month ago or so.

However, i attempted to smoke it yesterday using the machine, and nothing. I inhaled the fumes but they weren't exactly harsh, and i had absolutely no effects. I'm sure i packed enough because after the first small hit didn't work, i put everything i had left in, which was around 120mg. Still nothing.

I put it in shredded, and used the Lazymans Tek.

I think my problem may have been that i didn't leave the naptha long enough, i gave it a few casual stirs once i had put it in and then almost instantly began extracting. Is this my problem?

When i poured the naptha in to my evap dish, over night it formed not crystals, but sort of a heavy white layer across the entire pyrex dish. I scraped it off with a razor blade and was quite happy with myself as my produce was only a tad yellow. It was soft and powdery, is this right?

The only problem i ran in to whilst carrying out my extraction was that my poultry baster broke so it was quite difficult to separate the naptha from the aqueous mix, i ended up trying to scoop it out which worked but took ages.

So any idea on what my problem is? I'd like to do it right this time

What bark did you use? A couple of stirs isn't enough for the dmt to migrate into the naptha. You want to turn the vessel holding the mix end over end and let the naptha work it's way through the aqeaous solution back to the top. Do this for at least an hour before pulling.

I assume you still have your bark in solution?

Afraid i don't. I carried out the extraction around a month ago, the yield has been sitting in a container until now. I proceeded to do another pull and yielded a very small amount so i figured the aqueous mix was fully used.

I used Mimosa Hostilis Root Bark.

I think that may be my problem, i was under the impression you should gently give it around 3 light swirls and to make sure it doesn't get too mixed up the solution.

So i should stir the naptha in harshly for an hour or so? How long should i leave it after stiring? Just long enough to come back to the top of the solution, aye?

Also i'm using the Lazymans Tek, so my mix is done in a big Ceramic bowl, so i can't really roll it around turning the mixture through itself, i suppose i could just use a potato masher to flip the mix around and work the naptha through?
