Hello. I am an avid psychedelic explorer and ethnobotanical gardener and am slowly making my way into the realm of harmalas in preparation for re-introduction to dmt. Had a few experiences smoking it about 5 years ago but never got a breakthrough experience and I feel like am ready to explore this realm with a more shamanic/spiritual mindset. A few days ago a picked a leaf off of my caapi vine and chewed on it for a while. I notice a very mild opening up into a feeling of well being that I want to explore futher. I felt tha faint hint that this is going to be the plant that solves all my problems. It was a VERY mild feeling but it seemed to trigger somme latent feelings of well being from when I was a child. So..wanting to explore this harmala effect further without plucking any more leaves off of my young vine I decided tomake a tea with 2 grams of rue seeds. I drank the tea and the effects were pleasant, nothing extraordinary but I did wake up this morning feeling very "anti-depressed" which feels good. I am wondering if there is a cross tolerance between caapi and rue and what is the best way to get good effects from caapi or rue alone? I feel in my heart that caapi is the one for me and I am afraid the more I use the rue, when I time to make a nice caapi brew comes along, the prescence of the rue spirit will mask the magic of the caapi. Anyone have experience with these 2 harmalas?
