hello everyone. my friend showed me article, its about a man who believes he has met god. it starts off innocent enough but later the answers given by the claimed god are really detailed and freaky. its about 14 pages (big font) and should take about 20 mins to read. i would love to see what anyone on this website thinks about it..

here is the story

'quite the opposite. Those are the visions of an evolving mechanical species who imagine that bigger machines are better and stronger and that we will always need more and more energy to achieve mastery of the universe. The truth is the exact opposite. The more advanced we become, the less energy we require and the less impact we make on our environment. You manipulate matter, which requires enormous amounts of energy. We manipulate energy, which requires none. As a consequence, you would not, for example, even recognise a level two species as a lifeform unless it chose to let you '

I just read it. It is interesting, but there is nothing contained within that a creative mind couldn't very easily come up with . . . and at the end the dude promotes a play of his on life after death, so it appears to me that he is having a conversation with himself and promoting it as one with God Incarnate. Nothing wrong with self promotion, but be careful believing it is an encounter with God when I and many others could write something more convincing if I chose to. Read with a grain of salt (I don't even know where the expression "grain of salt" comes from) . . . Thanks for sharing though, I do like to read (a dying breed are those who read . . . heeeey I'm a poet now Laughing . . . . ).

*** edit *** I just read part of his Life After Death play. The writing style is the same as his conversation with God. Just sayin' . . .
Fear, belief, love phenomena that determined the course of our lives. These forces begin long before we are born and continue after we perish. We cross and recross our old paths like figure skaters; our lives are not our own. From womb to tomb, we are bound to others. Past and present. And by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future.

I would classify this as an imaginative and clever work of fiction. As such, it's a worthwhile read... A nice way of presenting these ideas.

It is an interesting and imaginative read... but if the author really wanted to promote the doubt of whether it is fact or fiction, he should have introduced in the tale some means through which the conversation could be fully recorded Smile

The author is of course the "god"

the grammar and syntax doesn't change significantly as it would if they were two separate personalities

entertaining though

I really enjoyed this read! I don't really know if it was truly intended to be taken as true. It's really just a fun little story... but it does make you wonder.

Yes, the syntax doesn't change, but it would be more suspicious if it did. It would suggest the author was intentionally creating a character, rather than giving an account of an experience, in his words.

The ideas presented are very interesting. I have for a while now deduced the non-interfering nature of God. There is only really two options if there is a God: a) God absolutely does not interfere or b) God is extremely dedicated to the image of not interfering. In either case, it is our responsibility to conduct ourselves with the notion of God not helping us out.

Why is there suffering? Why do good people die and bad people seem to live on and on? It's because we have to figure this out for ourselves. If God decided to run everything, we'd never learn anything. We'd never grow. What's the point of having us around if it has nothing to do with growing, evolving, developing, and learning to live with each other and thrive with each other?

To some, these ideas would be belittling. I find them empowering!

The thing about this story is that no story like this will ever be 100% believable. The most perfectly crafted story still just wouldn't satisfy most people. If this is actually true, most people wouldn't believe it. I really think this is the most likely scenario of God did decide to talk to someone.

Not that I believe it...Laughing
