DMT has a certain way about sticking its nose into other experiences. Even smoking marijuana can become mildly psychedelic with not too much. I believe this is likely due to neuro-plasticity. It can also be in part due to pattern recognition which DMT increases. Since DMT really fine tunes you into high level visual phenomena, when you have other experiences (even sober experiences), you may identify that geometry as the basis for a lot of structure of both the internal and external worlds.
