More and more lately I find myself stuck in the cycle of work sleep work sleep, when I have free time I'm to tired to enjoy it.

I use to explore my mind my being, contemplate my existence in this thing we call life. Be it aided by psychedelics or not. These days I crash when I get home from work, weekends are the same. I try to rest and suddenly it's back to work.

I wonder how people manage to work rest play. Surely it's not ment to be this way all work not enough rest and no play.

What's the answer, how do others manage it.

I exercise stay fit etc. Can train hard when at gym but when I'm home my mind crashes turns to mush all focus and motivation fades fast.

I want to find a balance point but where to begin?
Black then white are all I see in my infancy.
Red and yellow then came to be,
reaching out to me, lets me see.
There is so much more and it beckons me to look though to these,
infinite possibilities.
As below so above and beyond I imagine,
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Practice the ability to fully experience your down time when it comes.

When it is time to relax.. Don't worry about work, or anything else.

"Think more than you speak"
"How do you get rid of the pain of having pain in the first place? You get rid of expectations"
"You are everything that is. Open yourself to the love and understanding that is available."
"To see God, you have to have met the Devil."
"When you know how to listen, everyone becomes a guru."
" One time, I didn't do anything, and it was so empty... Almost as if I wasn't doing anything. Then I wrote about it. It was fulfilling."

I'm about the same. When I do have time off, I always feel like I should be doing something. This causes anxiety and somehow I end up doing nothing. I get paralyzed by my own overactive mind.

Like you, I want to relax and have fun, but I am usually so overstimulated that I just need to shut my brain down a while. I have spent the last year or so just feeling generally burned out.... exercise helps some, but not enough alone.

When I figure it out, I'll let you know!

I experience this as well. Part of it is not having the time to use psychedelics (8 hours for an LSD-esque trip + some time come down), the other part is that I wait for the "right time" to use psychedelics. So it turns out that the "right time" and free time hardly ever sync up.

On the other hand, much of my lack of use of psychedelics could be attributed to making excuses. When I lower my standards for the "right time", I have a great time anyway.
Every day I am thankful that I was introduced to psychedelic drugs.

I guess it comes down to your energy. From time to time I also enter a dreaded autopilot state with little motivation to break it. What usually helps me, and it might be a bit cliche, is meditation. When I manage to have a nice deep session in the morning it makes an immense change to my day. Yoga is also very nice, but meditation has a greater impact on my well-being. Love

If that fails you can always 'force' yourself out of it. Realize that you always have the power to do something else, what you want to do. Every day shortens your life but while it is here, this reality is all up for grabs. How to do that? By just doing it.
If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough.

Is it that simple tho. Mortgage and bills to pay. Can't move away from work and its the grind of everyday work that's taking all the energy from me. I mean yeah I have time to dedicate to myself its the mental energy I lack.

Maybe need to break things down and focus on the simple stuff, I dunno tho.
