Following Kash's Tekknique
basified the Aqueous citrate solution with lye crystals,
the solution turned yellow
added more lye, turned dark murky orange
pulled once with toulene,
waiting for evap.

Any ideas why the solution turned opaque orange? Hoping it's not over basified Neutral

/facepalm

You should not add excess lye to lsa extracts it will hydrolyze the lsa and render the extract inactive lol. Some lsa may have survived if you pulled it into the toluene quick enough. Hope you get lucky.

It was a learning experience Kashy-me-boy! I have a good feeling about it.
Quick question mate if one were to mix a citric acid solution with the LSA-containing acetone solution, would the alkaloids move from the solvent to the acidified water? Or might there be another method to retrieve the extract from the acetone other than evaporation? If there's any other way, I would rather not evap the acetone

Nope, because acetone mixes with both water and np solvents. Have to evap. Wink

What is your goal here? To keep the acetone or to not dry out the lsa extract? Becuase you can mix aqueous citric acid solution with acetone and then evap the acetone off leaving only the aqueous, but then you will likely still have all those impurities from the acetone pull that get filtered out normally, and you will still lose your acetone.
