Swim heard zippo fluid works for extraction, when swim tried a evap test it worked fine, then towards the end of the bottle it left a really gummy almost rubber residue.
Does zippo work as a naphtha alternative, No way of getting vm&p naphtha where i live.
So assuming zippo is naptha will it work?
Is there other brands that work better?
Is it clean?
Does it have any other chemicals swim should be worried about?
swim will do freeze precipitaion if that matters.
any help would be much appreciated.

sure does, i also live where naptha no where to be found, many succeful clean extracts on the stuff, zippo dedooda wonderful feeling wonderful day

Zippo is better than naptha imho. It evaps faster and seems to work better in recrystallizing for SWIM. I have seen an amount of Ronsonol evaporated in a small glass jar and it left no discernible residue. I don't know about Zippo but I cannot say the same for Newport.
