SWIM wants to enhance some herbs with DMT. First SWIM was thinking about Pau d'Arco, but now he's doubting about using an MAOI containing herb, such as Passionflower or Caapi. He's wondering, if you smoke an MAOI containing herb, do you have to keep to a diet the days before use, to keep yourself from nausea (as with ayahuasca)? Or isn't this really a problem when smoked? And would one suggest making a Passionflower/DMT only mix, or is it better not to use to much Passionflower and fill with some other non-MAOI containing herb?

Live plants. Sustainable, ethically sourced, native American owned.

We all have different Biologies, so I can't say with any factuality,

In my experience, I can consume coffee and Pasionflower tea within hours of eachother without too much of a negative effect.

Never have experinced nausea.

This only goes for an oral preparation of Passionflower's Harmalas though.

If it were me, I wouldn't worry too much about a diet when dealing with passionflower, unless it's for spiritual purposes.

As stated before, we are all different, and my only experience is with Tea.

I have also smoked tobacco after smoking a bowl of Syrian Rue seeds, without much of a problem.

Doubt the regular foods you eat will cause a problem though.

To be safe just stay away from coffee and tobacco.

Alright thanks for your help Smile

Does anyone have experience with a Passionflower or Caapi only mix?
I was thinking it may be too strong on the MAOI.

you have nothing to worry about.. the maoi diet thing is mostly a misunderstanding that westerners projected onto harmalas by assuming they were like pharmaceutical MAOI

Caapi or passionflower changa in a 1:1 herb to dmt ratio is relatively weak as far as changa goes. I still love it... but try making 10x caapi changa (see the wiki) if you want harmala heavy changa. Or throwing in some extracted rue harmalas into a changa blend your making

and mixing tobacco with harmalas is actually an incredibly common thing in the amazon, cubeananda. But yes, too much caffeine can be very uncomfortable

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

Great thanks!

Can't wait to test it Smile

I think I will try a 1:1,5 Passionflower mix first, as this will only be my second time smoking dmt and will be sharing with a friend who has only done mushrooms once, so this way he won't blast off too hard on his first experience.

Thanks again for the tips
