I am looking for a certain 'Ohm'-type-sound that occurs in certain types of music. It always occurs with a voice, sounding like maybe it is being sung through some sort of pipe or bamboo.

Even though this "documentary" sucks bad, the multi-layered sound I am looking for occurs at the beginning:

The sound can also be found somewhere at the beginning of Sphongle's DMT song:

It is also found in Buddhist monk chants but also sounds sort of Amazonian...

What is the name of these types of pieces of music?

I think they go very well with travelling.

Peace!

Tibetan throat singing?

Do you mean overtones?

Like, indeed, in Tibetan buddhist chanting:

Thanks guys! I have finally found it. I have been trying to research what to call that type of sound for a while, but something like that is very hard to google.

That is some insane stuff, how people can make sounds like that from their throats!

This guy does an awesome job:

I will get some of this music and begin experiencing what type of rabbit holes these vibrational tunes will lead me down...with the help of my goo Pleased

DisEmbodied-

You are, and have been, a full member for some time now. The purpose of the Welcome Area is to sandbox new members for a short period of time until they are ready to become full members. Once this happens, we ask full members to post in the general forum.

Please keep this in mind going forward. This thread is more appropriate for the Music/Art/Literature sub forum instead of the Open Discussion area for new members.

Thank you.

On two occasions now I have employed throat singing as a means of protection in hyperspace. The awesome thing is that the first time, it happened reflexively, like I was spurred involuntarily to do it. When done properly, my entire body is vibrating heavily and all of hyperspace becomes entrained to it in totality. It has stopped even the largest and powerful of dark entities in its path. So as I said, the first time it just sort of did it by itself, and on the second occasion (just last week) I resorted to it because I recalled its prior effectiveness. Interestingly enough, I cannot do it without DMT. My vocal cords simply don't know what to do. It seems to only be in the presence of the DMT energy that I can get my vocal cords to behave the way they need to. It feels very empowering like a lion roaring, "*&$# off!"
