I have a dog, a cute little Australian Cattle Dog (or Blue Heeler) and she has been with me on many wild trips. She has been with me when I did a high dose of mushrooms (5 grams) and acted as a sort of spirit guide (throughout the whole trip she had a third eye in the center of her head, it was pretty fucking awesome), she comforted me on my ayahuaska trip and when I have been in the middle of a candyland sort of DMT trip she was there.

When I play with her when I'm tripping heavy on DMT she stretches out like kind of a centipede. Her legs make a trail behind her of about 12 or 16 legs and I can't ever tell where my dog begins and the tripping ends. It's a wild sort of effect. Her face is typically unchanged save for a brighter color and the hyper details one sees while tripping but her body as she moves always trips me out with that centipede looking stretch.

I was wondering if anyone else has had similiar weird or warped looks that they have seen in their pets?

These dogs are not dogs they are alien infiltrators!
nah my cat's fur just blends together more her eyes see through me [DMT] i've never seen her during a breakthrough and i don't even know if it would be possible to recognize her as a cat at all in that space.
i have yet to have my first enhanced/elongated trip but when i do i will have my cat with me.

i lovee tripping with my dog! Through my experiences ive came to the conclusion that dogs have a very high sensitivity to energies and can see and feel way more than we can in everyday reality, so their constinitly in a way tripping like kids, in the realm of nature. My favorite and according to his reactions his favorite substance is aya, when im in that realm of nature with him able to connect on completely different level even telepathically, his form stays the same except i see sometimes light energy field around him and trails

My dogs are very tuned in to my tripping mind. I haven't decided if they are aware of my conscious energy, different body language, or just that I am acting different. They sure do know.

I was tripping with a friend on cactus, and one of my dogs was just kind of shaking, spacing out. Definitely tripping. I'm pretty sure dogs trip right along with their owners. When ever I go on a trip, they are exhausted at the end of the day! Like, worn out to the bone, and they are border collies, which is an unbelievably energetic breed.

As for how they look, normally they look the same. A lot of times I get s glimpse of a large eye for a fraction of a second that seems to emanate from their head. This happens when I look at people, too. I think it's my way of seeing someone's consciousness.

The best time was the first time I had a decent dose of mushrooms. I was running around the yard playing with them, and they looked so much like cartoon characters. It was great! The white spots on them were replaced with blue, so they were black and baby blue.

Dogs are great tripping companions for many reasons. They warn you if someone is near, they are fun, and they seem to know when someone needs comfort.

I did acid one night many years ago when living in a cabin with no utilities. The batteries to my radio died so I walked into the little mountain town I lived near, taking my 150 lb Newfoundland along. Got to the convenience store in town and there were two guys there, obviously very drunk. They had what I guess was a German Shepard/Wolf with them. Under any normal situation this dog would have been the alpha, he was probably 100 lbs but my Newfy just massively out-sized him. Before I even knew what had happened they were at each other, but my dog just stomped him to the ground and was just absolutely overwhelming him in the fight. I came in from behind and grabbed my dog in the soft skin behind his rib cage and yanked him backwards and he turned around and came at one of my hands with an open mouth. Everything about his face had changed, all of the goofy, floppy jowls had tightened up and he looked like he was about 90% teeth. He had a very powerful jaw and could crunch up a bone the way you or I would eat a candy mint. I am sure if he had connected he could have taken my hand off of my wrist. Crying or very sad Once he realized it was me though, he stopped, several inches away from connecting with the bite. He was then completely freaked out that he had almost bit me and just cowered, and the fight was over. The drunk guys were just freaked, they kept telling me how 'bad' my dog was (as in badass). I bought my batteries and went home.

Well, I thought I was going home, but it was a moonless night and foggy too. I got lost on the path even though I had walked it hundreds of times, and found myself disoriented in the woods. I kept telling my dog to go home, hoping I could just follow him, but he just wouldn't take the lead, he wanted to follow me. Eventually I found myself back on another road and I knew where I was again. I saw a neighbor's light on her porch and went up to the door. It was about midnight, I guess. I knocked, and she came to the second story window. I explained that I couldn't find my way home with the fog and asked if I could borrow a flashlight. She came downstairs and opened the door and another Newfoundland, just as huge as mine came flying out the door with teeth bared and he and mine smashed their open mouths into each others. I actually heard the 'clink' sound of their teeth hitting. Shocked It was like an electric shock in the air. Luckily they didn't continue to fight though, and we separated them right away. The earlier fight was intense to witness while peaking, but this was WAY more insane. I wasn't even really sure if it was happening. Once I got the flashlight I found my way back to the cabin, my dog following happily along. My hour or so long trip to town for batteries had turned into this absolutely crazy 4 or 5 hour adventure.

Damn, I miss that dog.

Which dance before me like a million eyes,

Its wonderful that you trip with your dog!

I too trip with mine. He's a Labrador mix, is incredibly friendly and very sensitive to people's auras.I've had wonderful open and closed eye experiences with him.

For starters, I opened my eyes on the comedown of a breakthrough. He looked like an entity in his own right. His fur was glowing and seemingly aligned in a cloak of magical armor. Now, whenever I smoke with him, he looks exactly like he did that day.

On another dmt trip, I had visuals of the both of us floating through space. I had the distinct feeling that our spirits have been with each other in past lives and will continue to find one another in future lives.

On my one and only pharmahuasca trip, he laid by my side and was a warm, cozy reminder of the 3D world.

Warm hug,
Wearepeople

I can relate to your dog looking like a centipede when t moves haha..

About a year ago sitting in my friends yard alone at night I had a bit of changa and as I was holding the smoke his cat ran up to me from across the room, and it started blurring and stretching or like I could see it running in frames and then it hopped up onto where I was sitting and I stroked it as I blew out the smoke my hand ran up its tail and its tail multiplied very machine like then it ran away and I found myself in an outdoor entity library of sorts haha

How about turning the tables and giving the dog dmt and you can trip together or would that be dangerous? honest question.

DeMenTed, I'm not sure giving an animal a recreational drug is a good idea. It's impossible to predict how they would react. It also isn't right. Most people when they do a drug have some idea of what they're getting into, an animal does not.

^^^ In addition, you never know what may be toxic to an animal, and not a human. Take chocolate, we love it, dogs love it, but it can kill them.

Plus, a dog that's tripping may revert back to a more primal state and become aggressive and dangerous and hurt them self, or you.

Trust me, dog's trip enough. Those silly bastards live their whole lives in a trip!

My cat shows up every time I do dmt. He can smell it or feel it, I not really sure. He dosn't come running when I smoke pot. If he is not right there after I pull it out , I know he will be there purring giving me that funny look as soon as I hit it. He acts very different and [it really seems like] he can feel and see what is happening. One time that really struck me.....the blast came as a wave of rainbow bubbles that hit me like water, then went right into my body and were swirling around. My cat jumps up on me and starts licking my clothing. He also licks my hands (alien hands) and acts all weird. When the whole clan shows up he acts very submissive, bowing his head before them. He has come with me on some crazy trips....... I havn't been keeping a trip journal lately but wrote about a few of my first here some where.

We work with dogs, so I'm always surrounded by them Very happy

They seem to know that your state of consciousness is altered and act accordingly. For example, my trained dogs go in perimeter protection, patrol and check on us. The small ones ( Chihuahua, Cocker spaniel ) stay close to us and help grounding.

Last time we took some MDMA we tried to bring the outside dogs inside with us, was amazed when I saw that they didn't want to come inside, rather went outside and guarded.

I love my dogs, but I avoid touching them when sweating and I avoid that they get high.

Peace and love.
With these hands I have killed man and destroyed hopes and dreams. But when I open these hands I can hold my wife, make my children laugh and even aid others. It's not the path that we take but the choices that we make along that path that makes us who we are. -Waugriff

^Wondering the same exact thing man.

I have a boxer/chocolate lab and he is still just a puppy but starting to come out of that state as he grows older. Once he accidentally ate an eighth of my mushrooms...and lets just say he was howling and rolling around for a good 4 hours. I was scared to death of this and did much research to see if it could harm him, i didn't find much unfortunately but that was over a year ago and he now seems perfectly fine and still happier than ever. Once when i tripped some 2cb, i was laying in my room and my door was closed. I looked at the edge of my bed and there he was panting and all smiles towards me. Only, he was not in the room before and the door had not been opened...shocked but careful not to freak myself out, i asked him howd he get here (yes i talk to my dog, so what) he then tilted his head and raised his ears and said, from you. After this he has never spoken to me again when i have been in a tripping state but i feel as if i subconsciously had him say that as a reference to him eating the mushrooms and him now becoming one with me and a trippy fellow dog traveler. His name is Rampage and Rampage has been in every trip with me since he has eaten those mushrooms. Weather he actually be there sometimes or a mere hallucination, he is always there to calm me down and help. Weird and a sad tale but it was pure accident i swear, but i am almost happy he did eat those because if dogs do have conscious energy and are aware of such i feel as if he is much more in-tuned with me now and we share a love that is indescribable Big grin

Sorry for the double post, not sure if thats frowned upon here but i didnt see this before i posted. This makes a lot of sense to me Journey, as when i am under the influence of weed or a psychedelic, my dog Rampage, seems me be aware and playful but playful to the extent that he is aware of what i can and cannot handle, example him randomly barking or jumping on me makes me curious and startled, whereas him licking me or wanting to play catch makes me excited and warm. He shows up at the exact moments in my trip when i would need him too. Also, when i smoke synthetics, a drug which i wish i would have never started and is terrible but still do.., he is afraid and scared. I feel as if he does not like me doing this drug and does not like what i become when i am on it, but with other ones that are more pure and organic he seems aware yet still happy.

Awesome pet tripping stories!

I have a cat I rescued from a rundown pet shop who had 3 kittens dumped on them at only 3 weeks old, I still have him, he is 17 now. he is totaly bonded to me and thinks I am his mum

when he sits on me and cuddles up he tries to suckle under my arm for milk, he still does it to this day...

So I take about 2 grams of p.cubensis and he sits on me, I swear I could feel his love for me! like a babies love for its mum, it was so endearing, I couldn't put him down, I stroked him for the duration of the trip, it was a very personal bonding moment that I hav never forgot, I know how much I mean to that cat now, to him I am literally his mum!

He is sitting on the chair next to me now Smile

I am certifiably insane, as such all posts written by me should be regarded as utter nonsense or attempts to get attention in fact everything I write here is a lie !

I hope in some way, my posts and replies may of helped you, I hope you like what I have said here if not feel free to send me a none flame PM

(Sorry if this is a dead thread, its taken me a while to gather the courage to post and register with this site) My dog always acts a bit concerned when i trip around her. I've only really done acid and dmt with her around but she always acts very watchful of my husband and i. Im not sure if she's just curious as to why we are acting so weird or if she actually knew we were impaired, but she is a pit bull -and i dont think they were given the nickname "nanny dogs" for no reason. Sometimes i even wonder if she just wants in on it ( she likes to drink beer spills and usually acquires a small buzz from that).

On a slightly related note; my dog accidentally rolled once. Im just gonna cover my butt when i say I DO NOT CONDONE GIVING ANIMALS DRUGS. NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE WOULD I EVER PURPOSELY FEED A DOG DRUGS. But to proceed with the story; we ate some e pills (i think two and a half each) one night and we werent feeling very good that day, like we were both coming down with colds. But we ate them anyway, and almost ten minutes later we both threw them up. I went in the bathroom and my husband went out back. Naturally the dog followed him outside. Almost before the puke hit the ground she was on top of it. My dog LOVES vomit. Seriously. Its her favorite flavor. Before he could react to pull her away she had inhaled most of it. But never fear, nothing bad happened to her. She just got really clingy and really cuddly and even though shes 70+ pounds she didnt want to leave our laps. She seemed a little freaked out by it but as long as we gave her lots of love and petting she was contented. It was actually pretty nice being in a little cuddle puddle with my husband and dog. Overall nothing bad happened to her. She slept most of the next day but she didnt get sick or anything.

Also; i would argue about animals not knowing about psychedelics. I know for a fact reindeer, foxes, raccoons and im sure others too; consume amanitas in the wild just to trip. Maybe dogs dont know about it but i think animals know more about such things than we give them credit.
And I'm lonesome when you're around
I'm never lonesome when I'm by myself.
And I miss you when you're around...

My assumption with your dogs when you trip, particularly because of the breed, are mostly concerned for you. My sister has a pitt lab mix that always barks at me, no matter how familiar she gets, whenever I get near my sister. I also grew up with a similar breed to the OP Psychelectric, an Aussie Shepard/Queensland Heeler mix. Never tripped around him, but he was the smartest damned dog. He learned how to jimmy the gate open, climb the fence, and even at one point had a hole he was digging into the neighbors backyard that he would cover up with with plywood whenever someone came into the backyard. It was about 8 feet deep when we found it, ha!

I'm more of a cat person, though, and for some reason that does to me seem beyond natural concern, when I trip around my cats or smoke herb even, they do tend to respond differently. my cat that died last year Roosevelt would come over whenever I sparked a bowl and chase after the smoke. His sister Anja likes to rest on my chest whenever I do mush of anything psychoactive.

Forgot to add, Muscaria and other types of fungi are in bloom in my area right now, and though I don't particularly care for a Muscimol experience, I very much so appreciate locating and admiring the varieties in my locale. The city park actually is overflowing with them in the nature area, and here on the pacific coast, no Look-alikes that I know of exist, so it would even be relatively safe to eat those particular ones.

But I digress. Out looking for those mushies recently, and finding and admiring them, one thing I witnessed that amused me to no end. There were obvious signs on some mushrooms of foraging, likely raccoon or deer, but on my way out of the park I witnessed the local squirrels racing down the trees, looking cautiously, darting to the A. Muscaria and ripping off a chunk of the cap, and racing back up the tree with the flesh in it's teeth, then mowing down (and presumably tripping some kind of squirrel balls). My understanding of Muscaria and Muscimol is that it's less psychedelic/hallucinogenic and more inebriating. But, then, I never tried it myself.
