SWIM did a STB. He messed quite a bit and so will try again soon. But the naphtha that was left evaporated today and SWIM is . Below is a photo. The big spots are most likely lye stew that accidentally got in the solvent. Around the globs there is some sticky stuff. I have not tried to scrape it but it feels unscrapeable to the touch. SWIM doesn't know what DMT smells like but this stuff smells very unique. Kind of earthy, def not solvent. Anyway, SWIM would like some input on what to do before he scrapes.

how much did bark was SWIY working with? was it throw away already?

well if you say there are lye spots, SWIM would obviously clean it.. Either redissolve in solvent and do a sodium carbonate wash, or recrystalization.. But since SWIM cant see anything there, so doesnt really know what to say

always try to work in a way that nothing get lost/spills.. As long as nothing was thrown away or SWIY didnt mix some radioactive plutonium, then nothing is lost..

you have to post more about the process and then we can suggest how to improve it, but just this pic doesnt say much, we dont know the scale and its not so good quality.

SWIM pulled far more than Naphtha. The crystals that remain will be contaminated also. Have SWIM research washing techniques and see what will work best. Perhaps SWIM could tell us what materials he is using. Something needs to be changed.

If you can't tell, it looks like a brown booger. It's so small, he wouldn't even bother to recrystalize. Should SWIM smoke it, or just say fuck it and start working on the remaining bark?

SWIM would not smoke that. Start over again and have SWIM report the steps he's doing.

Ya your'e right. SWIM has some sodium carbonate and will do a wash. SWIM did not soak the bark in lye long enough. The naphtha pulls need to be longer as well. And SWIM bought a syringe to make separation easier, because using a spoon was a disaster. You learn through experience
