If Jesus and Buddha had mystical experiences and become who they were, then what would you call us, or what would that make us, who have had dozens or some even hundreds?

Meditate before you venture, take it seriously, use it as medicinal—it is good psychotherapy if needed. Realize that you, the Earth, others, and the Universe are all one and the same process. Then take that knowledge back to become, as you already are, one with nature. Eternity in every moment. Divinity in every particle. All is one organism.

A few things to consider:

"Mystical" is subjective and may involve multiple levels of consciousness. Also, not everyone retains, or applies what they experience.

Correct. A mystical experience is the easy part, but the start to a lifelong quest which involves a great deal of sacrifice.

Entheogens have transformative capabilities only if the insights are put into practice. Not enough is fully known about the exact way Jesus or the Buddha became enlightened IMO.

It's not about having the visions, ultimately it's what you do after you've seen it.
