I was doing research on DMT before I did a trip, and I came across a story about a guy who friend became crazy because he was scarred from one of his trips and he mentioned me met the clock work elves.
After reading this I took a hit and I saw Christmas elves in my side vision, then I started to think about this guys story and things became scary and dark... I embraced these dark visions or 'entities' to try and learn from it however I feel... uneasy and a bit scared now.
Prior this trip I had a wonderful time a female presence showed me a beautiful place and I was so happy and full of love ... but now not so much.
I feel scared to take DMT when I want before of learning about these 'clockwork elves' Can some one please explain what they are and if they are bad?
Thank you in advanced

im sure people can only give interpretations of there meetings with these entitys.
ive only ever had one experience with them and it was quite positive, the elf appeared out of the complex geometric patterns and was basically having fun / showing off in his own little membrane universe, spinning, jumping, flipping, enticing me to watch him and his impossible endeavours this lasted for what felt like 5 minutes or so, until he slowly faded back into the geometric patterns from whence he came.. it was very light hearted not dark atall. i have on the other hand had many dark DMT experiences with no entitys present, and for me the darkness was partly my own self reflection.
so all in all i dont think you can give these so called machine elves a good or bad 'TAG' they are what they are and thats your personal experience which can change depending on your set and setting. i personally think they are introspective in that a part of them is your own subconcious manifest, and also could be from an outside independant source. 2 different views on what could be happening, personally i think both of these viewpoints are true.

That is one of the big dangers of reading about bad trips. Everything you experience during a journey comes from inside your head, and if your head is full of nightmares to begin with, you're going to see a lot of nightmares on the other side. I've never met these clockwork elves you speak of, but asking 'what are they,' doesn't make much sense, since they can be different things to different people. All I'll say is that, whatever they are, I guarantee you can learn from them if you try, and that, at the end of the day, they can't hurt you. Merry Christmas "There are many paths up the same mountain."

yes set and setting can be very important to the outcome of your experience. i really believe they are partly reflections of your subconcious, but we are also made up of the stars we are a part of everything somehow so what we are seeing is also from outside of us a seperate reality. but that outside is fundamentally a construct as on the most basic of levels there is no 'outside' as we are the outside and the inside.

The experience, entities or none can feel beautiful or hellish. Good set and setting is helpful but there is no such thing as control in this game. You have no idea what is waiting for you, all the preparation in the world will still leave you dice rolling. If (as I believe) experience is bound to your state of being it is also true that we don't always know what is lurking in there. Be prepared for anything, good or bad. If you don't feel you're strong enough to deal with the possibility of 'anything', look after yourself and don't dive in. There are right and wrong times for everything (although right and wrong are totally subjective in themselves, difficult experiences can often be useful). As a side note after many journeys I've never met anything that resembles the descriptions others give of entities, let alone 'clockwork elves'. Keep an open mind and have your own experiences and not those of McKenna or anyone else.

Have nothing to fear, learn from the experience and figure out a way to integrate it into your conscious, I too get a bit shaken from some trips. But the fear shall subside.
