Good read? Hardly. Informative? Yes. But don't expect to be sitting on the edge of your seat awaiting the next page (unless 50+ pages of a doctor cutting through bureaucratic red tape is your sort of thing) ... =D Happy Holidays, Egokiller. I enjoyed it! My favorite part might be the trip reports. The whole thing is interesting, really nice diagrams/images. Like the comparisons of the molecular structure of various psychedelics. For instance the fact that Psilocin and DMT differ by only 1 oxygen atom intrigues me. Changed how I viewed mushrooms. Plus that one trip, I woke up and ate an eighth of closed cap cubensis and had the most intense mushroom session ever

Yes, i liked the book a lot! That's because i'm an information fiend though, lol. It did show me how closely related shrooms and dmt are though and like the above poster said it changed my view on shrooms aswell It's well worth the read my friend! i actually emailed the author of the book, Dr. Rick Strassman, not too long ago and me and him were talking about some of his DMT experiences and other things, i was really excited to be talking him! Aren't we all microscopic in perspective?
GroundSound is a fictional character and does not have anything to do with anybody in real life, any events or actions he states is pure fiction.

Alas, I haven't ordered this book yet Although I did buy a few David Icke books today. I plan on ordering PiHKAL and TiHKAL soon, they seem very intriguing.

I have to say myself that some of his ideas are a bit far-fetched, but at the same time there is very useful information in there aswell. Just have to pick out the babble

I enjoyed the documentary more than the book. Seeing the people give their trip reports added to the depth of it. Be well and travel safe. Much love R "What we think, we become" ~ Buddha

Yeah, first third of the book a bit dry. But once you get into the actual trials it gets pretty good. What I found most interesting was how the different personalities, backgrounds, drug experience and dispositions of the subject played out in their trips. It really illustrates how important "set and setting" are to the experience (not so much the physical one, but the psyche and state of mind) I wouldn't exactly call it a must read, but certainly don't regret reading it either. I think the most interesting thing I learned from the spirit molecule is that DMT does not build tolerance at 30 minute intervals. This gave me the idea to take flight several times back to back. The thought had never occurred to me before that. + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- DMT Nexus Research ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- +

While I purchased the book a few years ago, I found listening to the audio book via my favorite monthly purchase, AUDIBLE, made me enjoy it a lot more. If you don't have audible and drive 30 miles one way to work, I promise you it will be a great purchase. from afar.

I read the whole thing on a 9 hour car ride this summer. It starts out ok, then gets VERY SLOW as you read through about the struggles he went through trying to make this happen. It does pick back up again though once you start getting into the actual experiment and read the amazing reports. Overall I wouldn't say I "loved" the book, but it certainly has a lot of great information. I think you will enjoy it overall! Have fun! Coinci-Transcendentalism

I listened to it via Audible as well! I admit too that it has some extremely dry portions, but the experiences were cetainly interesting. The Nexus certainly trumps the book however when it comes to experiences, both in quality and numbers. I used to think it was mandatory read for interest in thia chemical...However other than than reading about his other studies regarding melatonin and the pineal gland there isn't much else that you can't find on here! Most of the writing in the spirit molecule is drier than a popcorn fart in this readers opinion, however the trip reports were great, and I agree that the movie is way more entertaining. As for David Icke..... I hope someone bought him a giant Iguana for christmas. “Music is the voice of God traveling through ten-dimensional hyperspace.” ― Michio Kaku
