Good day, fellow nexians!

I recently purchased some hibiscus flower petals during a recent order from my friendly online herb supplier. I bought them out of curiosity, as I try to order something new and somewhat random each time I make a purchase. This stuff was a few bucks an ounce, so it made the cut. I have made tea out of it almost every night since buying it. An ounce is not enough! The first time I made it, I was very surprised at feeling very relaxed, calm, warm and somewhat intoxicated. Definitely get you some, and give it a try! It's my favorite thing I've bought for quite some time.

Upon further reading, I discovered it acts as a vasodilator, which explains the nice warm, flush feeling it gives me. It also may have various health benefits, including cancer fighting ability.

I had a thought that maybe this might be something nice to add to an aya mix. I don't have a very in-depth chemistry/pharmacology background, so I wanted to ask, is there any reason for concern when adding a vasodilator to a harmala/harmine RIMA? Would there be any benefit to a brew?

I'm pretty sure I'm going to have some when I try yopo, because it is definitely a powerful vasodilator.

Don't know. you tell us!

I personally feel you want to work with relatively benign plants as admixutures... I have had difficulty with adding plants that were too powerful in their effect!

Hibiscus seems relatively nice, but I can't imagine you going to get terribly profound effects from it as an admixture!

My thinking was it might give a very nice calming effect, and make the body physically comfortable. I made an aya brew with chacruna and caapi, but it was barely strong, luckily I made more, so I can up the dose! I just don't have much experience with aya, so I wasn't sure if someone may have a better idea about admixtures.

Well I went ahead and drank some hibiscus tea during a shroomauasca trip the other day. It was quite nice.

I still haven't added it to an ayausca brew yet, as I've only tried aya once and it was not very potent. I want to get more acquainted with aya before I add things in.

The hibiscus seemed to elevate my mood, make me more happy, and euphoric. I definitely felt more warm and loose, as my blood was flowing better. I definitely recommend! hibiscus is one of my favorite teas now. It's tasty, and gives me great effects.
