Hello, this is my second forum I have ever participated in (the other one is a motorcycle forum)and I am looking forward to a better understanding of DMT as well as the brain itself.

I am currently a freshman in college and am trying to right an argument essay with two opposing views and since I have such a fascination with DMT this is what I chose. I initially wanted to attempt to provide evidence of a link between an unpercivable dimension and DMT, I realize it's an unneccasary challenge but I want to learn as much as possible.
While doing research for my essay I discovered this forum (pretty excited to see what it can offer) and I would really appreciate any advice in general or specifically what I should look into to further my understanding (possibly some good resources). So far my understanding is very elementary, before discovering this forum I was convinced DMT was synthesized in pineal gland. Thank you very much.Big grin

Hi Geoffrey,

Welcome to the Nexus. Great to have you here. I'm not sure how we compare to a motorcycle forum, but I do hope you will enjoy your time here.

Some potential good starting reading resources might be, "DMT: The Spirit Molecule," by Strassman, and PIHKAL & TIHKAL by the Shulgins.

When it comes to DMT, it's going to be difficult for you to prove a link between it and anything metaphysical, but I do know there is many a psychonaut who feels there must be something. And I applaud your desire to learn as much as possible. Hard to go wrong there.

Have you had an opportunity to try DMT yet? How about other psychedelics? Anything you can tell us about your experience level, impressions, etc. . .

Again, a warm welcome to you.

"But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."
-Rick Doblin, Ph.D. MAPS President, MAPS Bulletin Vol. XX, No. 1, pg. 2

Hyperspace LOVES YOU

I appreciate the welcome, it doesnt have anything to do with motorcycles lol I was just saying I am somewhat new to the entire forum experience as a wholeRazz

I am now trying to find an opposing view for DMT's relation to neurotheology, or just some legitament document claiming dmt's effect on the brain is unhealthy/unreal/something of that sort. (other then its harmfull on the lungs and sometimes ingested with MAOI)it needs to argue The idea behind strassmans "spirit molecule"

And I am still ignorant to the experience itself as I have only smoked weed and have a rather subjective view of drugs in general (mostly because I was raised that way) but I definitely intend on trying it I just want to be WELL prepared.
