Hello Nexians,
I have spent a considerable amount of time reading the forums and have finally decided to post and get the communities thoughts on my experiences to date.
I first heard of spice in the early 90's and it has been on my bucket list ever since. About a year ago, thanks to a close friend I finally had the privilege of experiencing this amazing substance. I was given the chance to partake but the dose was rather low and smoking apparatus sub standard. Despite the low dose and not breaking through I still had a very amazing eye open experience. I ended the night with a strong desire to explore further and my wonderful friend sent me home with the means to explore further on my own terms.
Now on to my experiences. I have probably launched off 15-20 times. The one time I think I likely broke through I went completely out and remember nothing. My sitter indicated my face made expressions he had never before witnessed and my body contorted in strange ways. He stated after about a minute i sat up, eyes open and was conversing and giggling in sheer joy reaching for things that weren't there. He stated after I had come down that he didn't know where I went but it wasn't "here".
Now, that being said, every other time I have launched, I have taken about 40mg per bowl. I usually get two inihaltions before I have to set down the pipe. The second toke is inhaled eyes closed, long and slow until there is an explosion of geometric visuals at which time I'm pretty sure I always open my eyes. Now when I open my eyes what I perceive without fail, every time is always the same and according to every person I know who has partaken, nothing like their experiences.
As soon as I open my eyes the room I am in appears the same but completely different. All clutter is completely gone, no mess of objects on tables, couches, floors etc. There is no longer any "roundness" to objects every edge seems to be at 90 degree angles. It is as if I have stepped into a computer construct of reality. The rooms clarity is always mind boggling like high definition reality to the Nth degree. Words on objects such as tvs and stereos become strange alien script.
Sometimes my sitter(s) are there but if they speak it is often a cacophany of strange sounds and other times the room appears devoid of others altogether. Staring at surfaces appears initially like solid color then shifts like there is movement of patterned pixels with spaces between.
There is usually a strong vibration sound and several times it was as if reality was shaking apart but this always frightened me and I force or will the shaking to stop.
I don't think this is breaking through but I always feel like I've gone somewhere once reality has "dulled" to normal. After a number of trips like this over a number of months I began to question my sitters after returning to baseline. They indicate I always remain seated, eyes usually open, usually articulating utter amazement and wonder. I always spend the next hour or so just kinda digesting and trying to figure it out. My sitters often comment that Multiple times as I sit quietly contemplating the experience I will just say "huh" at least a half dozen to a dozen times.
Not one of my friends who has partaken has anywhere close to the experience I always seem to have. They have plenty of intense closed eyed vivid fractal and geometric visuals but nothing like my shift in perception. I am pretty sure none of them are as proficient as I at vaping spice and maybe that's why.
Anyways that's my experience, every time, only varying in degrees of intensity/clarity. I am guessing I am not breaking through though the experience always feels so intensely like having stepped into a separate/alternate reality.
Can anyone comment as to whether they also have experienced similar perceptual shifts on sub breakthrough doses? Could I be breaking through?
Maybe for my next experience I'll try and remember to just keep my eyes closed or if I can keep the fear at bay just let reality break apart to the vibrations. Anyways I'm looking forward to some feedback and thoughts from anyone.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Oh yes I've had exactly this experience.
The first time I was at my parents summerhouse. It was like this reality but in a higher dimension. Like a hundred times cooler and more exiting reality. It was still my parents summerhouse but very different. It was more and amazing. And so clean and..... well I lack the words.

And in the middle of the trip I went outside and the sky looked more amazing than I've ever seen it. The clouds and moon were an absolute adventure.

Thanx for sharing Smile

I should clarify as well that when I note the room is the same but different, what I really mean is the relative size of the room and placement of large objects remains the same but perceptually it is as if the room is digitized. It's hard to describe but during the flash It feels like being in the matrix or well....hyperspace LOL. Impressions afterwards and the memory doesn't do it justice. It's not until I launch the next time that I "remember" the magnitude of the perceptual change. It may not be a breakthrough, I don't know, but it sure is wonderfully awe inspiring. I can't imagine how I will feel about a true breakthrough if this is just simple open eyed hallucinations.

Hi Joshua 2112,

Welcome to the Nexus. I do hope in addition to this post and the reports here that you will take some time to post a formal Introduction Essay. Very happy. But, for a first post, other than needing better paragraph breaks, not at all bad.

Yeah, my first impression/question after reading your report was, "Why are you closing your eyes while hitting and opening them while tripping? You've got it backwards!"

Couple other things that came immediately to my mind were: "Maybe you should extract your own DMT," and "Maybe you should purchase a Glass Vaporgenie pipe." The GVG being the Nexus gold standard for a pipe that allows easy breakthroughs and appears designed specifically for the spice.

It's really up to you to decide if you broke through. No one can decide that for you. For me it includes stuff like amazing, sharp, polished, gorgeous visuals (as you described) open or closed eyed. It frequently means being pushed down into a trance where my eyes automatically close, then I leave my body and am utterly transposed in space and time. That's what it feels like to me, other than a drug trip. It often feels beyond time, beyond life, beyond death, absolutely 5th dimensional. I come out of it shaking, laughing and crying, sometimes feeling my body up - glad to be back in it. Many times when I break through even if the last thing I recall is vaping DMT I am utterly convinced that something went wrong and I'm dead.

Anyway, great to have you here. Please do post an Introduction Essay. And read more and more here - you will find you are far from alone.
"But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."

I have been seriously researching trying an extraction as recommended. All my research is indicating MHRB has gone the way of the dinosaur. I'm from Canada and not willing to seek out MHRB from outside the country. The possibility of even being charged for buying dye or cosmetic ingredients would find me unemployed. You never know though, with enough research I might get lucky. If I do luck out I'll definitely share my experience.

I'll jump on an introduction essay next. Thanks for the replies and the welcome.

I'm having a similar experience as op.

Tried the sandwich method in pipe a bit. I always feel like I'm in control of my body. But I was smoking just some herbs with the same screen earlier today. I thought I saw something bad in the sky? It seemed very real. It made sounds and used bird chirps? Or the birds were chirping at it?

I dunno but when I got up and moved around it was still there so it freaked me out. It all feels very other wordly almost like out of body experience or a dream, but I'm awake. Also my trips have been intense audio wise
