On Saturday I submitted an account of a massive breakthrough I had on a Pharmawaska session ( ref. Voodoowaska)
Actually the post trip experience has been rather carthartic, I've taken a lot of positive stuff away from it. However, as I 'd stated that I'd shared the experience with a friend of mine, who appeared to take the trip in her stride. ( to the point where she was texting a girlfriend while yours truly was still grovelling on the floor) Seems things are not so simple.....
On checking up with her ( phone) I learn that 3 days later she can't eat or sleep, nausea and nightmares of writhing snakes, etc. I'm a little concerned both for her, then for me of course if she breaks down and starts singing about the strange man and his "magic teas". But honestly, my main concern is for the girl to snap out of the dark spiral she's in.
I'm certainly going to visit in the next 24 hrs and give reassurance that it'll go away, but was wondering if any experienced Nexians could give me some advice on how better I can reassure the young lady who is normally so jovial and care free. And sure, if anyone thinks that such a situ. requires a health proffesional, I'd certainly reccomend that.
Thanks in advance guys!

this is a tricky one..because psychedelics can cause some strange effects on their own...but if she doesnt come out of it soonish i would think getting some professional help is the right idea.. maybe after you see her you might have a better idea of how shes doing..get back to us.. the other thing is maybe shes having a really hard time integrating it all...instead of looking at what the trip was doing to her..she was texting...and to me that sorta sounds like a coping mechanism to try and not think about whats actually going on in her head its likely that the trip dug something up that she doesnt know how to deal with...maybe what she really needs is just somebody to talk to..so she can figure out the changes that may have taken place... id also recommend sending her this way...get her on the forum so she can talk about whats going on inside of her head..and she might be surprised at some of the feedback she receives.. by talking to fellow adventurers..she might realize that shes not the only one to experience whats shes going through...and i find knowing that im not alone(in terms of strange feelings and thoughts after psychedelics) really helps me relax to the process that is going on

By all means ask her if she is going in and out of hallucinations sporadically during the day, either of DMT quality or of any other. This is essential info, try to obtain it and share it if she is able to provide it of course. This information may help distinguish if her symptoms are somewhat organic in nature, or an emotional result of the experience's intensity. If it is the latter, she may be needing to integrate the experience by discussing it with a close friend who shared something similar (ideally, you). What you don't understand, you can make mean anything. - Chuck P.

Thanks Jokest and theneural.. Great advice there, much appreciated. I also thought at the time that she wasn't taking what had happened "on board", I mean texting superficialities 3 mins after coming down from that, unhealthy disrespect I mused.
I'll see her tommorow, pretty sure I can prevail and she'll be ok. But I learned my lesson, no more sharing except with very experienced users. I have all my gear on "jettinson standby" in case it all goes really pear shaped.
Unfortunately I can't send her the way of the Nexus, she only speaks Spannish and French. Ah well, I'll report back at some point when I know more,
Thanks again.

Definitely sounds like an integration issue. Too bad she can't post here, but you may be able to act as a translator and post on her behalf. At this stage she should be talking about the experience, writing it down if possible.
Do a search here about Aya and snakes- they are a common symbol with some positive aspects. She may find that to be reassuring.

Yes, you guys were spot on, it was an integration issue and sharing or respective experiences face to face seemed to fix it, in fact she was positively glowing with confidence in the end.
Ayahuasca and analogues are truly amazing medicine.
Thanks again.
