hallo to everybody....i need help to decide what to do with some liquid dmt i got....when i got it it was light yellow color and was clean and good...i used it intramuscular a couple of times, then i stopped using it 'cause being in peru i was mostly sperimenting with aya...lately i look at it and noticed it changed color...now it's a bit reddish...it could be because of the weather, don't know,or maybe it expired...i always kept it in the dark, but still it changed color...i don't really feel to use it as before,intramuscular, because of the change in color...i was wondering if is possible to use it to do some changa, and how to do it?...i have syrian rue and caapi enough...should i just soak on it some syrian rue and some mint leaves or do i need to use ethilic alcohol?...it's already in liquid form, so i thought maybe i don't need to dissolve it in alcohol...but really my knowledge in chemistry are close to zero,so please, if anybody can help me out, i will greatly appreciate....and how much syrian rue seeds i should use for each dose of changa?

It has become dmt-oxide, over time Its normal. The dmt is in salt form for IM use and needs to be free based for smoking, evaporate it and make a paste with sodium carbonate the pull with dry alcohol or acetone and evap onto your herb for enhanced leaf or changa if you use a harmala containing herb or add harmalas.

i use DMT-acetate for my changa and it works quite well.
it actually seems to be a little more heat resistant (possibly because heat FBs it?) and forgiving on people with poor smoking technique.

i have taken a couple tokes of pure DMT acetate as well and that worked fine (though the taste isn't as pleasant as a nice mix of changa)

i don't know if the same holds true for other salts, but having a less than a cursory knowledge, i would assume heat affects other salts the same as it does acetate.

i assume you have some salt form of the spice, and by the coloration and hygroscopic nature it sounds very much like acetate. as of now its fine to smoke (heat from a lighter freebases acetic bonds, rendering freebase upon smoking)

if however it dosent freebase with a lighters heat, its another salt with a stronger bond. in which case you could use it as pharma or proceed to freebase it.

i would avoid injecting anything not prepared by people familliar with medical preparations of pharmaceuticals, smoking has a greater buffer for your health.

afaik acid forms of dmt dont oxidize ( icould be wrong) and it may be that some of it evaporated, leaving you with a more concentrated form of the same substance (ie darker color/ more viscous/ increased potency)

thanx to ntwhtyouknw and Parshvik Chintan for ur quick reply....so if i understood well, first i need to evaporate (completely?) the liquid....then i add to what's left some sodium carbonate, to get a paste...then i soak the paste in alcohol ( is it ok ethilic?), then what should i do, filter it before, or just put herbs and harmala on it and wait for the evap to complete?...do the sodium carbonate stay in the herbs?...thanx again

In solution even the salt forms will oxodize easily

Make sure the ethanol, Isoproyl alcohol or acetone is dry, as if it has water in it it will pull sodium carve as well as spice. Their is a well written tek somewere around these pages, when I get off work ill look around, try searching fumarate to freebase conversion or the like.

good to know about oxidation

you dont need to dehydrate your solution, you can add a dilute basic solution to it and let it sit in the fridge for a few days, your spice will be freebased and become insoluble in basic water (make sure the mixture is basic). if you let it sit it may form nice pretty crystals, or you can do icehouses 10 min tek (found in the wiki) for quick freebase wax
