Okay so now is the time for me to upgrade my phone. I am looking for opinions on the currently available smartphones. I am as yet undecided, so I thought I'd throw it out to the Nexus to help sway my decision. Thank you, you lovely creatures Thumbs up

Check out the Nexus 4 released in a couple of weeks. Better specs than am S3 and about 200 pounds cheaper.

Yes, the Nexus 4 will probably be my next smartphone too. You will get a high-end smartphone for the price of a mid-range.

Kind regards,

Excellent Thumbs up thanks Trav and Pihue, this was the answer I was looking for. The specs are incredible as is the design, along with the price, and 4.2 will of course be worth a look...Life's Good Razz

It is indeed a great name Very happy Samsung also make a Galaxy Nexus but I think I'll go with the Nexus 4.

I was actually torn between the Nexus 4 and the HTC One X+, but I think the Nexus 4 is the right decision. I did consider the S3 which is undoubtedly a great phone, but it comes at a price.

Google Nexus 4: UK price and release date

The Nexus 4 will cost £239 for the 8GB model and £279 for the 16GB when it goes on sale on the 13th of November. That's unlocked, without a contract: you'll be able to buy it directly from Google and then choose whichever provider and plan you fancy.

I would take the 16GB version.

Yeah it's available SIM free in the UK (I'm UK based). Though I'm probably gonna get it on an o2 contract (released soon).
