This interview really puts past events into perspective and gives you a look into what the governments....ok one government, is trying to accomplish with things like PIPA and SOPA. The federal Govt. does not want anything to exist that they cannot control.

For those pirates out there I highly recommend you go buy a external drive and dl/backup everything you want now.

I have to say, overall, I was rather unimpressed with this interview.

This comment on "hacktivism" was particularly lacking in analysis, imo (then again, I believe he's an upper class liberal, so it's not surprising):
Quote:
So umm I really think that umm there are means for legitimate discourse and trying to bring attention umm with activist acts is wrong. On the other hand I believe very strongly in legitimized marches and that sort of stuff with the approval of the authorities. There's room in our society to go out and have a microphone and have a say and be heard by so many others.

Rolling eyes

Yea Steve, because state-sanctioned "protest" has historically brought about change to state-created problems.

How much can one like another proponent of capital? I'm not very impressed.

Damn it one thing I always found paradoxically stupid in my country as well was the fact that protests have to have a predetermined schedule and they need the government to allow them to protest.
I mean it's the exact opposite of a protest
