So, I guess I've decided to start and make my own smoking mix. I'm going to buy in the next few days, all dried leaves/flowers, some blue lotus, white lotus, calea, baybean, and maybe some wild dagga from all the good things I've read here.

First, I was just interested in the baybean, reading about it being an alternative, or additive for my weed smoking. And then, the more I read about other plants, and flowers, I decided I might as well buy a few other kinds, and maybe even mix them together, here and there, testing out different combos.

This is sort of just a list, of me going about all of this. Any prefered plants you guys have, I'd love to hear about them too. Maybe even buy them too. Convince me. Razz

I really can't wait to get these things going. Big grin

It's more special that way.

Wow.. I might even start buying some plants just to make tea with.. This stuff is starting to suck me in.

New possibilities are Kanna or Channa(Sceletium tortuosum). I've read that it's a SSRI. Now, I'm not to sure what that is yet.. I've seen it around here before, so, I should know more than I do, sadly, but I do see it also says that it's not safe to mix with an MAOI. So, there's that. This wouldn't be good for use in actual changa I see, right? Not so much that that effects me, this being a non-dmt/harmala mix, but, still, good to know.
The main active chemical in Kanna is mesembrine. Not to sure what that is either, yet.

Maybe Sinicuichi, because it just sounds interesting.

Hemia salicifolia has a Shamanic tradition dating to the Aztecs. The leaves were crushed, mixed with water and allowed to ferment for a few days, making a nice-tasting tea called Sinicuichi. The effect of the Sinicuichi tea was a euphoriant and a brightening/yellowing of vision, hence the name "Sun Opener." Sinicuichi is also thought to give the ability to recall past events with great clarity.

More reading to come.

Maybe even Maconha Brava for the herb mix as well. Apparently, its' name means 'false marijuana'. I've read that it's been smoked to produce a halucinogenic state, and is somewhat similar to baybean in being another lesser known halucinogen. That.. in itself makes me rather interested. Seeing as how this has spiraled out of control from a possible weed alternative to a full blown mixture.

I might even jump the gun and buy some wormwood as well. I've always read about it here and there. Now, maybe I'll re-read, and see where that takes me.

I got sucked into a herbal shopping spree recently as well. Big grin Haven't had a chance to put it to use yet, but I'm sure I'll be mixing and matching and ranting endlessly about it soon! Here's some of the goodies I ended up with:

Chacruna leaf (been smoking on this for a while)
Caapi leaf (essential for changa!)
10x B. Caapi extract (just to kick things up a notch)
10x Syrian rue (yeah you know)
10x Calea Zacatechichi (dream herb, enhances visions)
Silene capensis (another dream/vision herb)
Blue lotus stamens (not the petals, this is the most potent part)
Pau D'Arco (possibly the most interesting, do a nexus search on it)
Artemisia Absinthium (Wormwood... always been curious.)

There are many more I'd like to try, but by this time my wallet was empty!

No direction but to never fight her flow,
No direction but to trust the final destination.

ive had experience with most of these and heres what i have to say, dont buy wild dagga. it does nothing and tastes horrible. the tea is unbelievably bitter and the smoke is harsh and thick. white and blue lotus contain the same alkaloids so there is no need to purchase both. calea tastes terrible as a smoke, its never worked on me, but it appears to work for most people, so thats worth trying before you put it in

I've just received a delivery of Blue Lotus flower - when rolled in a joint with hash (roughly 1:1) it gives a lovely euphoric but mellow high; much less anxiety than I normally get from cannabis... Recommended! Smile

I've been smoking Calea for a few weeks now, here and there before bed. Sometimes mixed with cannabis and sometimes alone. The taste was weird at first but i've gotten used to it and can enjoy it now, but not in tea form...thats crazy bitter. Calea definately has a nice dreamy effect and I believe it has been affecting my dreaming state. I've had a few notably vivid dreams and some very strong visions now when going to bed. Which cannabis also contributes to i'm sure Smile

Thanks for all the great responces. I actually jumped the gun last night, and decided to go ahead and BUY BUY BUY.

I've got a big old care package in the mail, and I hope it gets here quick!

I decided to order..
Calea(Dream Herb)
Some Blue Lotus. (I only got the flower petals, but I have found a great place that sells stamens too, like crazyhorse mentioned. Which I might look into next time.)
Baybean(Canavalia Rosea)- for its possible weed substitute.
Maconha Brava- For its' possible weed sub as well.
Syrian Rue- just because. Razz (All the great things I've heard.)
And Wild Dagga.(Again due to great things being heard, and again, another possible weed sub.)

I alsoooo bought,
Some Sinicuichi, It just sounds very interesting. And, it's for tea.

And, some Wormwood. Very happy Hoping to give that a test some day soon.

Crazyhorse, your little haul sounds pretty nice there.Smile I'd like to eventually get some of this Pau D'Arco, it sounds really really interesting with the addition of the spice and all. Strange.
And those Stamens. I do know of a good place, I believe, but they're strictly a blue lotus seller.

remediosvaro, I hope that doesn't happen with me as well. Sad. Did you smoke it by itself, or was it mixed with other herbs, and plants?

Great to hear Hippie! I think I'll test that out sooner rather than later. Very happy

And Whatisreal, that's one of the bigger reasons I've decided to get Calea, is for the dream aspect. I'd also love to put a little in my mixture, when it all arrives, and see what it brings to the table.

Oh boy.. I can't wait for it all to get here! I almost can't handle the excitement!!
