Greetings!

I suppose I can start this off saying I have yet to experience the beauty of DMT. This site found me months ago as I was in the "extremely" early steps of learning about this molecule. Immediately I became immersed in the vast amount of information the nexus contains. I consider myself one who seeks knowledge about everything, always wanting to KNOW. Experience everything I possibly can in the short time I am here.

Background time?

I definitely consider myself a beginner when it comes to psychedelics. Couple years of heavy cannabis use woke me up so to speak, and my beloved mushroom trips finally began to open my eyes. Having experimented with a variety of drugs void of psydelia and thought provoking mental stimulation, I have come to enjoy the uniqueness of the psychedelic experience. Multiple LSA attempts-both horrid failures and blissful successes-further expanded my view. I can say with confidence I am younger than the majority of Nexians, but I am awed by the expertise I have seen on here and love the atmosphere maintained as it is unlike any other open forum.

On to bigger and better things! Mimosa hostilis is nearly in my possession, and I have heard rumors of an upcoming attempt at extraction in a reality far far away. I wish him luck, especially when he plans on ingesting the substance he will have extracted.

So with that monumentous event in the near future, I felt it was proper to formally introduce myself rather than just spying on the amazing things that are constantly circulating the Nexus.

Welcome to the Nexus. Thank you for that well thought out and written intro essay. And don't worry about the age thing. As long as you are over 18, you're good to go. Nexus is made up of folks of all ages and becoming more diverse (in terms of membership) all the time.

So, I'm wondering how your psychedelic use to date has affected you. With both cannabis and mushrooms you mention waking up. I'm wondering if you might be willing to say a little bit more about what that means to you?

Please do take a good look around - there's lots and lots of subforums with a huge amount of information in them. Also, the upper right hand corner of your screen has some really good links - stuff like wiki for extraction teks, FAQ and Health & Safety. These things are very well researched and were written by folks in the know who really care.

How has it affected me..where to begin. To me personally, cannabis promotes the free-thinking, open-minded state of mind that I thoroughly enjoy. It is unlike other psychedelics (in my understanding) as it is not simply an overload of sensation and information with a post-trip reintegration. But over time, daily use has taught me much about who I am, what I want to be, and many things about the world around me. I suppose one way to look at it is bending reality toward the psychedelic world, but still remainly firmly here. Of course every so often, preferably after a short tolerance break, large amounts of edibles can create a mild "trip" so to speak which is awesome in itself. Overall it just helps me to expand upon me if that makes sense.

And then mushrooms come in. It is hard to put into words the way it has affected me as it is on such a deep level. Feeling the essence of everything around me, showing how all is one and the same. Granting the ability to crawl into the deepest catacombs of my mind..and then open my eyes and enjoy the beautiful world that we are a part of..its quite lovely. I remember feeling like I was in on a secret that I just wish I could share with the entire human population.

Tip of the iceberg, and yes there is alot of useful links containing so much information on here. The extraction teks have already proven invaluable and that's because I haven't even attempted it yet!
