Pretty good podcast really. I'm not a huge Alex gray follower, I enjoy some of his art but don't know a whole lot more than that. This podcast touches base on spirituality, religion, art, mushrooms ect.

Watch it, or listen to it while at work. Start a discussion.

Have to say that I truly do enjoy watching the Joe Rogan podcast. He usually has some really interesting people on and most of them are rather informed on many subjects. It's nice to see someone who can relate to a younger generation like myself have a show where many views and ideas can be freely talked about without being ridiculed or put down with biased untrue statistics and facts.

Ya I find him slightly strange as well. At one point he kept saying "ya, uh huh, right, ya, ya" while rogan was talking. Was weird. He definitely has a wide understanding of things, some of which I don't quite grasp, agree with, or know much about.

Ribstaylor: ya it's nice to be able to listen to something while at work that will engage your mind and spark new ideas and understandings. Sometimes the topics are of little interest to me but most every podcasts has expanded some kind of understanding or created some new ideas in my head. Plus rogans character is along the same lines as my own character, so it's almost like listening to a conversation I myself would have with friends. There's also almost alwys some good laughs here and there and the occasional podcast that leaves me wetting my pants and crying.

He touched on Paul Stamets...if you don't know him...look him up on TED. That guy is a genius and a real live 'Proper Head' Smile

Ya he sometimes has the odd person i can't relate to and not everything is all that interesting but compared to most podcast's I've heard his is the best.

ANd i like alex greys art but i can't seem to find him interesting. He's not good at conveying what he wants to say in a charismatic manner.

I specifically enjoy the synchronisities he talks about. Some of them are pretty hardcore. Especially the part about the painting he did, I think called Gaia, that he painted in 1989 of te twin towers and showing two airplanes so on. And that artwork ended up on the beastie boys album with the hit "sabotage". And he was in the twin towers sep 10th 2001.

The figure seen in the same side as the twin towers looks like George bush. He's embracing a terrorist and a diseased penis.

ok so what does everyone think about that? The coincedence seems toooooo strong, yet all the facts are their.

On the right it shows the twin towers with a pair of airplanes.

Also are three figures, one being a terrorist, and one looking REALLY similiar to George W Bush, and the third one a diseased DICK.

DICK Cheney was vice president under George W Bush

The lyrics to the song sabotage from the album ill communication, which also has this image in the album cover, arent that important i dont think. Although it is kinda creepy. But this touches base into conspiracy stuff, and we wont go there.

This image named "gaia" was painted by Alex Grey in 1989.

So BS? or what?

Difficult to say...(I think he's reaching for synchronicity on this one)
...although I have dreamt of future events before...
Actual dream lasted for a while....actual event was seconds..
Wierd Surprised

I think it is Nixon and Castro...Dick looks like an insectoid...

Yeah, we are all connected, it's not bullshit, such synchronicity/precognitive visions happen all the time. All the freaking time. I personally can barely get excited about it anymore. Yep, the world is a mysterious place and there's always something in it that will defy rational explanation.

CT? Alex Greys symbol is the eye in the triangle. Boogey Boogey Boo!

I got to meet Alex & Allyson Grey at burning man. They are really nice approachable people and have really good auras. He drew a burning man figure in my Transigurations book and wrote a little note. We got to hang out with them all day doing meditations, painting naked people and just talking.

His wife is definitely the more articulate one and tends to speak for him a lot.

yeah the grey's are truly awesome and funny people, i've met them as well

in regards to the whole 911 thing. more baffling then the gaia image was the albums alex was talking about that were about to be released on 9/11 and 9/12 or something..the art on one literally showed the towers in flames, while the other looked almost exactly like the images of the towers collapsing

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

Does anyone have any information on these radiation eating 'hot' mushrooms mentioned in this exchange? I can't find information on any such thing besides one fungus (Crytococcus neoformans), which is not a mushroom at all. Some mushrooms have been known to contain higher amounts of radioactive metals, but not because they are feeding on the radiation, just exposed to it.

there was another podcast quite awhile ago where rogan spoke about it. But i have not been able to actually find anything. I think Cryptococcus neoformans is what he was talking about, beings that it is a fungus, I think that was the correlation causing confusion for rogan.

I love you guys [the nexus.] Each time I am away from it for a while, every time I come back, I am reminded of what a rich resource of unique individuals it holds.

This thread inspired me to reconnect with Alex Gray - I have visited his Scared Chapels gallery here in NYC.

"He touched on Paul Stamets...if you don't know him...look him up on TED. That guy is a genius and a real live 'Proper Head'"

- just watched the Stamets video and took notes, THANKS! you can view them on my site @ www.krillbot.org !

Watching the podcast now.. not gonna get much sleep tonight Very happy
