Last week I received the Desmanthus illinoiensis seeds I purchased on-line. They were under $30.00 a pound so now I have around 75,000 seeds for a mass planting in the wild around my area. I heard they need to grow around three years before beginning to harvest small amounts of roots from them without harming the plants. Has anyone else on here tried anything similar? I don't know weather to plant late this fall or wait till early next spring. I'm going to experiment since I have so many seeds, but not to much because I still don't want to waste them. Anything any of you know might be helpful. thanks

Say high to babe the blue ox for me And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not percieve the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, "brother let me remove the speck from your eye", when you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye?-Yeshua ben Yoseph

Johnny Appleseed was a real dude! (forgot his real name) I learned it from Botany of Desire, which is a very good movie. He planted tons of apple trees, just before settlers arrived to new places. He made money off the trees, but also just loved apple trees. Turns out, because of the wide diversity in apple genes, its rare to get a tasty apple from seed. So what did they do? Made booze! Hard cider became a staple. So yes, much like Johnny Appleseed, you'll be spreading a consciousness changing plant! But at least this substance expands the mind, rather than lowering it and poisoning the body. Be an adult only when necessary.

Let's not forget about invasive species.....
An increasing number of folks are starting to refer to us as an invasive species. Obligatory DISCLAIMER: The writings above this are for a fictional character called TheBridge, and are not reflective of any real life person who may be typing them. The character is being tested out for a possible novella, and any stories told by said character should not be assumed to be real. Any advice given by the character should be taken lightly, although not completely ignored, as any idea can be of worth, even those which are greatly opposed. The character does have feelings though and can be quite sensitive at times, so it would be wise to treat TheBridge kindly. Said character has a good heart, consciously tries to follow the Golden Rule, but is troubled at times by the ego and reactions carried out by subconscious programming in automated manner.
Do these disclaimers have any value other than entertainment? I hope no one ever has to find out. Peace and prosperity be unto all of you.

Yeah they're native to my area Weire. I think they may become slightly easier to locate in the next few years around here. I also ordered ginseng seeds to plant in secret remote locations...Those were expensive! It does seem like most people are very invasive the way they disrespect the plants and animals we share this planet with. Maybe these very plants will help to show some of them the light.
