Hey friends

Was wondering if any of you have traveled south to explore and experience the many cultures of shamanism. Im really interested in the experience and I feel that there are things I need to spend time healing on. Could anyone recommend me any guides, or tour programs? And what your personal experience was like if you went.

I would really like to start with a genuine peyote hunt and ritual. If I have to stop in mexico before heading further south thats fine. Once Im done with that I would like to learn about the ayahuasca and cultivate/prepare/ceremony. If I get lucky I want end my adventure by finding the sapo frog. I am willing to spend a month to two months on the journey.

thanks!

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

If you are interested in mestizo-style ayahuasca ceremonies in Peru, I can recommend Ron Wheelock. He is a gringo, but good... he has such a reputation now that he sometimes has native Peruvians come to him for their first ceremony. It's nice to be able to work with someone who speaks english as a first language (or at all for that matter) and without the usual cultural barriers—in that sense, he is able to act as a bridge between Westerners and the Peruvian milieu.

Regarding sapo, you might do well to get in touch with Peter Gorman, he's on the aya forums as pgorman. He's something of the resident authority on it.
