a few months ago i got some yopo seeds, enough to experiment with, so i roasted 2 seeds and mixed with baking soda then wet it and let it dry. i snorted it and got a strong head rush but that was it. it was very painful. i knew 2 was a small amount, i was just testing. so the next day i roasted 5 seeds until they popped and mixed with baking soda and dried. i snorted this mixture, didnt leave a bit behind. i experienced nothing. my nose burned and i felt drips, but no psychoactive effects. every other try didnt work for me or a friend. i was not on any other drugs, i know that shrooms creates a cross tolerance, so i was not on anything.

any idea on why it didnt work?

I seem to remember that using bi-carb or sodium carbonate doesn't activate yopo seeds aswell as lime does. I may be wrong but it's maybe worth checking out getting yourself some lime.

Baking soda?

That's no good as the pH is too low. You need sodium carbonate at least for the pH to get high enough. You can get this by putting your baking soda in the oven on high heat until it loses 1/3 of it's weight. Weigh it first obviously.

I find some cebil/yopo to be lacking in the right psychoactives on occasion also.

Pure Calcium carbonate should work also.

I have got it to work with baking soda for sure... I used hot distilled water and baking soda with the dried inner yellow part crushed up into powder...

i made mine with lime and i haven't had much luck with it either. I don't think its as nice as we all think it should be...

this was before i knew anything about chemistry, i think im going to attempt yopo again, but not as a snuff. im just going to try to extract the bufo and 5-meo to smoke

you should outline your tek if it works out well. I still have all my yopo/lime powder. I could not bare to snort any more after the first time. It was brutal
