It's a little hypothosis that I have been contemplainting for somewhile.

I would like to present it now for the consideration of thoughtful and open minded induviduals. My hope is that this idea can be expanded upon by the relevant ideas and theories of others.

The Idea is a simple one. I ask you to consider for a moment the idea of Lucid dreaming.

The idea of becoming awake within a dream. Anyone who has achieved this state of awakeness within a dream either by accident or through diliberate intention knows how much the realization that you are dreaming changes the entire landsacape and dynamics of the dream.

I would now like to propose that everyday waking life works in a similar fashion. Once a person becomes cognizant of the fact that reality is infact an illusion of some sort then the entire definition of reality changes automatically.

As it is in a dream sometimes there are times when a dreamer will only become partially lucid. That is they understand for a fleeting moment that they are in a dream but do not take action on this revelation and therefore become re-absorbed back into the dream

As you might notice I am now building a metaphor that relates to the usage of psychedelics. For there are some that realize while under the influence of psychedelics that reality as we know it is a mere illusion. However they do not know how to put this information into use and there fore become re absorbed into the illusionary facade.

Just as a lucid dreamer who cultivates his ability is able to perform unthinkable acts such as flying, teleportation, walking underwater etc. A person who is living in a lucid reality can perform acts that can stagger the imagination of others who are still absorbed into the illusion. While living n a lucid reality may not give one the ability to fly and breathe underwater. It does give one the ability to reamian clear and focused with ones head highly above the clouds of perceptual illusion.

The metaphor of Lucid reality also extends to the idea of treating the psychedelic experience as real.

Treating your dreams as real and treating your trips as real is the exact same perceptual exercise IMO. A lucid dreamer can explore fantastic realms and communicate with a wide range of higher intellegences.

To have a lucid psychedlic experience is to explore unimaginable realms and to visit with different forms intelligent life other than oour own carbon based form.

So that is pretty much the theory as it has developed inside of my own melon.

Further development of this idea is definitely encouraged.

And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not percieve the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, "brother let me remove the speck from your eye", when you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye?-Yeshua ben Yoseph

Eliyahu, although this post is dated, it does not diminish any of its genius. The idea you had here I experienced this evening - and am still experiencing Big grin

Personal bowl of caapi + weed, followed by an incense ceremony. This placed me into a contemplative, spiritual place. Caapi's beauty is in her ability to gracefully open your mind to the intrinsic love around us; weed's is her ability to open your senses to the infinite sensations of the world. The images, sounds, smells, feelings are all warmer and move alive. I stepped out into a perfect night, residual warmth from the sidewalk, eerie coolness of night. The wind licked me like a silk tongue, strange but inviting.

I interacted differently with everything tonight. Clear-headed, hyper-aware, in peaceful awe of the world I had just awoken to. Gracefully interacting, feeling instant connection - it was like belonging. Understanding that the universe is out there for the exploring, your just have to know how to wake up. To come home and read your post was so inspiring! Thank you, Eliyahu.
