I was sitting at the computer looking at a photo of some friends and suddenly everything seemed to 'turn inside out' in a way. Everything started to look very geometric. Colours were much brighter. The photo almost looked like a stained glass window. I was aware that everything was made of geometric shapes that were light and dark that were opposites but seemed to co-occur and imply each other. I had the intuition that I was experiencing 'reality' as it is rather than the way we usually see it, either as good or bad. It only lasted a few minutes.

sounds similar to a low dose of dmt. but it could be many things..

But why smoke an unknown substance in the first place?? horrible and dangerous idea IMO

crack users are said to sometimes get all amped up, thinking they spilled some crack, searching the floor and finding little specs of bread crumbs and lint, laoding up their crack pipes in the hopes that maybe that one fragment of a peanut might actually be a little crack rock...

Why are you smoking unknown substances and what are the possible consequences? I think maybe we can gain more from reflecting about that than about making a "guess thread".

I have to admit something; I lied.

I didn't ingest an unknown substance this just kinda happened to me. I've asked about this before saying it might possibly be some kind of natural psychedelic trip and 90%+ of the time I just get "BS, PLACEBO!" etc. I just wanted to know if these were typical 'DMT-like' effects.

It was very surreal. It happened to me at a time when I was under a lot of stress, and was quite depressed but also had somewhat of a 'manic' episode which involved me going out busking in the city lol. Anyways thanks for the replies!

in "The Doors of Perception" aldous huxley mentioned that the effects of the breakdown of adrenaline in your brain are very similar to the effects of mescaline. So we all have the ability to manufacture mind altering substances in our own brains.

I don't get it- why would they say "PLACEBO" if you hadn't taken anything to begin with?

if what you're saying is true, then don't worry about that here. many of us experience or have experienced psychedelic states without ingesting anything at all
