I recently thought of a very interesting idea. I cant remember where I found the tek, but someone on here pointed me towards it. It uses everclear to extract the goodies from the mushrooms, and the alks precipitate out when the substance is stored in a fridge for long periods of time. You then siphon off the alcohol without disturbing the crystals at the bottom, and refill with clean, clear alcohol. Repeat this process until the amber coloring has disapeared and the alcohol is now clear again, you should put it back into the fridge or freezer to let everything settle again. Once settled, it can again be siphoned off to a very small amount of alcohol, with the alks still in the bottom. This mixture can then be added to a hot plate or boiling water to boil of the rest of the alcohol, leaving dried psilocybin and psilocin crystals.

Now this is where the idea I had comes into play...

My idea was to create a changa with some spice, and smoke it as you normally would. But instead of smoking just the changa, I was interested in throwing some of those psilocybin crystals on top to add an extra kick to the experience.

If anyone has every tried this, or has some thoughts they would like to share about it, please do. I am very interested in the effects of this combination, especially with this method of administering the substances. Also, if anyone out there would be willing to attempt this in the name of science should do so and report back

No idea about the extraction of psilocin/psilocybin but both are very sensitive to oxidation so keeping them in solution is usually what the preferred method is and dosages are administered via calculation of concentration.

I`ve also read that vaporized psilocin can be more powerful of an experience than spice.

That's why the extract is kept just covered with alcohol until its ready to be smoked, then you just slightly heat and evap the alcohol and smoke the crystals

don't waste good mushrooms. even if you manage to extract psilocin somehow, it is very unstable and will never survive being vaporized.

people have tried to make crystals with ethanol extractions, but whatever solids crash out are inactive. you need to drink the whole liquor extract for it to work.

shrooms are best for eating... you lose actives with teas and extracts...

Im not an expert in chemistry but from my limited knowledge I'm pretty sure getting yourself some psilocybin and/or psilocin crystals is not an easy thing to do, certainly not attainable with just some Psilocybes, Everclear and a fridge/freezer.

I found the tek before and will look for it again. But it calls for only mushies and everclear

This is not the tek, but instead a trip report in which someone smoked the extracted alks and had an amazing journey.
