Hey guys, I'm a long time user of freebase and just recently did my first ayahuasca ceremony but after all the amazing things I've read about it I'd love to have a go at making Enahnced leaf.

I've got Blue lotus and Calea (Electric Sheep) but would like to add some kind of MAOI but I'm finding it hard to get my hands on caapi leaves so I'm gonna get some Syrian Rue 10X Extract instead.

My questions are -

How much Rue extract would I need to add? I have no idea, I've done a little research on this site but can't find anything on how much I should add ratio wise.

Also can I just dissolve the extract into the solvent with the spice?

Many thanks for any help you can give me Smile

I am in the same boat, with x10 syrian rue powdered extract and desire to make changa.

In the chat room, it was suggested to use a 1:1 ratio of harmala's to dmt.

My understanding, however limited, is that the x10 powdered syrian rue extract would be considered harmala, and should match the same amount of the x10 syrian rue with dmt.

I would verify this with others with specific experience with these items, just to be sure.......

Hope this helps, and let me know if you hear better intell.............

Much Love

If you can get rue ext. then you may as well get rue and extract it, its easy, cheap and fun and you know what your getting.

I'm not sure how much of your extract to use, but I use up to a ratio of 1:1:1 in my changa.

it's all in your mind, but what's your mind???

I'm not sure about this. I assume a "Syrian Rue Extract x10", if it works the same as any other herb extract, is the alkaloids of 10 units of rue concentrated in 1 unit.

If you want to make a roughly 1:1:1 harmalas:spice:herb changa, using the same amount of x10 rue extract would require that x10 extract to be pure harmalas, and it's not the case. First, because you have also plant material in the extract (unless I'm mistaken about how that extract is made) and second, because the concentration of alks in rue seeds can be quite variable, so it's difficult to guess what you really have there.

The only way to make a reasonably accurate 1:1:1 changa, if that's what you want, is as suggested extracting harmalas yourself.

Thanks for the clarification.

In a big time crunch and didn't have time available to make my own harmala extracts.

would never do that with spice, but in a pinch, figured the syrian rue extract may be less dodgy......

would you use caapi vine or syrian rue for your harmala/maoi extraction, and what method............

I have no experience extracting caapi, but I have extracted rue using this,

Wiki: The Tao of Rue Extraction

although the first time I was lazy (or short of time, I don't remember) and used

Wiki: Easy Harmaloid Freebase TEK

The Tao gave better results to me.

I think extracting rue might be preferable, not just because it's easier to find and more affordable, but specially because the concentration of harmalas in rue is quite higher than in caapi, so you can keep things at a manageable volume.

I think it's worth the effort.

Good luck Smile

Thanks for the prompt responses. I do actually already have some Rue seeds, so I guess I could extract it myself.

So just to double check - For the first attempt I would only make a very small amount just to be sure I got the process down, don't want to waste any of that precious spice and also keep the ratio of DMT low as I'm inexperienced with enhanced leaf.

300mg DMT,
400mg Blue lotus,
400mg Calea
300mg Rue Extract/Extracted Harmala

Does this seem reasonable?

The thing I'm thinking as well, 300mg of DMT is about 10 or so good 'hits' when smoking freebase. What I am suggesting above equates to about 1g worth of smokeable product. That is a very small amount of substance when you are smoking leaves and I can imagine that to pack a bong you would be using at least half of it?

Seems like a lot of dmt to use for so few 'hits'. Is my understanding of this wrong?

Out of a gram of enhanced leaf, how much would you use for each dose?

Well, if you wanted to make 1:1:1 you would use 300mg DMT, 150mg of each herb (300mg total herb weight) and 300mg harmalas.

Just do the math.

300mg DMT in 900mg of changa (300x3) means that in order to smoke 30mg of DMT you have to smoke/vape 90mg of changa.

Yes it is a small amount, but proper tools and technique will do it just fine. There's actually a lot of nexians that simply add their changa to a spliff, although I haven't tried.

Thanks Vodsel, makes sense.

I always thought that with changa you are smoking much much more by volume, because when I read about it on here people talk about packing a 'bowl' or a 'cone', and lighting it and then letting it smoulder as they smoke, kind of like weed or tobacco. In my mind it would require a fairly hefty amount in order to do that.

But actually, from what you are saying its actually very similar to freebasing. You literally just decide how much dmt you want to smoke and then work out the math. 90mg of leaf would be such a miniscule amount it would be gone in less than a single puff I imagine.

Yep, if the technique is good you can pretty much take that in one go.

I fumbled at first. Using a GVG I loaded it with 85mg of 1:1:1 changa (rue harmalas, mullein-lotus-pau d'arco leaf) and considering posterior results with similar amounts it's obvious I did it wrong. It's a good idea to practice with whichever device you will be using with plain leaf of something, like mint or mullein, before using the changa.

Have fun in the kitchen Smile
