Successful Salvia vaporization
#5845605 - 07/11/06 02:11 AM (6 years, 1 month ago) Edit Reply Quote Quick Reply

Hi,

this is my first Salvia trip report and yesterday was the second time I've done Salvia.

The first time was 0.25g leaf from a bong and I felt some very subtle effects like my arm was melting into the chair and I felt like my head was slowly tilting to the right.
All this inside closed eyelids, when I opened eyes I just felt a bit heavy.
I did both of these trips solo in a quiet and dark setting. I'm going to change the setting to include a place where I can lay down like in to a bed.

The second trip:

Equiptment: bud grinder, Volcano valve set, Steinel HL 2010 Electronic heat gun
Dosage: 0.39 g, dryed leaves of Salvia divinorum
Temperature: 250'C (482 'F)

I weighted out the material. Grind it down. Load the valve set. Emptied the valveset's bag from excess air.
I closed all lights and sound sources that I could.
Turned on the heatgun and checked the temp setting.
Waited for the gun to heat up and started to meditate (a bit difficult from the noise of the Steinel). I used the maximum air output to fill out the bag as fast as possible.
The bag got full and I turned off the heatgun.

I sucked the first lungfull and closed my eyes.
My heart was racing. I hold it in for about 20 seconds.
I took about 3 or 4 hits from the bag when I started to feel the effects.
My heart calmed down eventually but on each hit it got a bounding 10 seconds.

I could feel how after each toke the feelings got stronger. I ended up leaving some vapour inside the bag as I got a little panic that maybe this vaporization could be too powerful method.

When I began feeling some effects.. they were coming up slowly.
This feeling of slow but constant pull towards down and right corner. My head began tilting to the right as it had done with during the first time.
I said out loud: "*pheew*.. strong", began feeling much more "stoned, heavy feeling". The feeling was definately stronger but still "Subtle" what it comes to Salvias full powers.

This setting that I thought to be ok, didn't feel ok at that time so I got up and went outside to lay on the swing at backyard. This was not my intention before trip, but now I just had to get outside. (why I had to get out?.. its a long story but gave me hints about how I can improve the setting towards next experiment.. I'm still analyzing)

While I stood up I was cautious about how my body would function. It felt heavy and slow.

The light intensity was blinding. (could be that I had no sungoggles.. I usually use them all the time outside)
The light burned into my vision in such a way that when I closed my eyes .. the same image would pop back into the closed eyes.. like there were almost no difference.. almost. I put my hand into the open eye vision and it flashed in the closed eyes too.
But this effect faded away quickly as I got used to the light levels and the Salvia fade away too. It left me with a slight stoned feeling or a heavy head kind of thing for few hours. I was feeling quite low energy levels too during this experiment, thanks to wake and bake.

It wasn't a "break through" but gave me some valuable experience for future.
I forgot to weight the "delta m". (difference in dosage weight after vaporization). I'm not sure if that is even any useful information.

So, I'm quite surprised how this vaporization method was indeed success. This method is the way that I am going to continue experimenting with Salvia in the future. I recommend it to everyone!
There is no harsh smoke or anything in that matter to make you couch those Salvinorins out of your lungs. The vapour is contained inside the bag and you can take fresh hits and hold them in as long as you like.

Wow, a long post.

I had to look up that word "contraption" from an online dictionary.

Well, my IXUS 400 pocket digicam is currently blown into parts on the table next to me. So no pics other than found online:

http://www.steinel.net/p.../electronic_heatguns.cfm
http://www.storz-bickel.com/en_home.htm
^There is a nice picture at the front page. I bought Volcano few months ago and I already had the Steinel. I put the Volcano back into the box to keep it clean. I have been using the steinel and valve set combo since. Its faster but more noisy. Volcano will erupt on special occasions only, with friends and family.

My version of this valve set looks a bit more advanced in design,
it has a rubber O-ring helping to have a good grip of the chamber.

High quality engineering, materials, finish and the overall product!
No waste of money.

This turned out very commercial but this set will save your lungs and it is priceless.

Whoa.

Vaporisation test #2

I used the same technique. Amount was 249 mg of dried leaf.
As I chose this lower dosage, I thought that I wouldn't need a bed to lay on so the setting differs only so that I left my grow cabinet's power on and the door open. Also radio was playing nice instrumental groove music.

I also turned to face my grow-box which happens to be in just that direction that I had experienced this "pull" emerging from in my previous trip.

I experienced something much more vivid this time. It was happy, no panic. I felt like something was flowing over my shoulders and the space in my lap felt like it had collapsed into solidness. Like I would touch it if I moved my hand towards it. I realized that this was indeed behind closed eyes only and tried not to open my eyes and just focus. It was easy, funny, strange, calm, smooth.

The music was good, the light was good. They both seemed to affect the movement of this "flow". At the later part of this short moment.. maybe 2 minutes total, the flow was flowing towards left of me in a horizontal line. It had turned to face the music. I felt like there was a lots to write into this trip report. I had few laughs. And I thought there were some others with me.. in the music. Maybe the music had some human voices but no lyrics. Well this feeling of others was just a faint feeling or just a thought, can't really say..it was that faint of a feeling but still.
Next time I want to write notes on a paper immediately after and during the trip.

I weighted the chamber before and after vaporisation.
The dosage had lost almost 1/5th of its weight. ~50mg.
249mg -> 201mg

I had a much better feeling before, during and after.
My mobile received a SMS during this test but the battery was so weak that it did not have enough power to play the 'New message sound'. I was lucky for that not interfering my experience.
I'm keen on using the remaining leaf material that I have left on a next experiment.

-- -- _-- --__--

Vaporisation test #3

Dosage: 333mg of dried leaf
Temperature: 240 'C or 464 'F

At "T", I took one "lungs-full hit" (empty lungs, hold nose, suck full) and held it in for 40 seconds. Then took same amount of a hit. Held it in for 40 seconds. During that second hit.. it was all happening again. Like I had returned into that same kind of flowing of things.

This time the flow reached a new dimension, projecting an 2D image of a large building(not detailed) that seemed to be curling downwards as I looked along its both sides. It was not all that real but it was quite something happening and a thought or a quote from here shroomery came into my mind "Just close your eyes and let it show you. Relax. It's nothing to be afraid of, just respect it." I was calm and quite neutral the whole process. Lots of small things happened in in that time and its hard to describe them all.

After the flow reached new levels, projected 2d imagery-plane (the house), I realized that it was in-fact me, moving around in salvia space.. or just watching closely this large building.. as if I was extremely close to it, maybe even a part of it. At then it started spook me but in an instant it turned out extremely hilarious.

The music wasn't effecting as much this time. Or were it the last time. Or are they the same? The memories seem to be mixing from these both events. Its about an hour ago. I'm not so afraid of the Salvia anymore, I trust her and I will move up on the dosage very carefully, respectfully and neutrally.

Vaporisation experiment #4

Dosage: 370mg dry leaf
Temp: 240 ’C

Pre-vaporisation:

First I let the material to warm up 30 seconds at 100’C. This evaporated ambient moisture or just blew out 30mg of material. Resulting in 339mg.

Vaporisation:

Then the 339mg was vaporized under 240’C for less than a minute to fill up the huge bag of vapour. Resulting weight after vaporisation 284 mg. The difference equals 55 mg.
After some time the vaporized end product obviously cooled down and left it on the scale. The milligrams started to climb. Must be the moisture from ambient air being sucked into the material and causing the weight increase. After a while the material inside the vaporisation chamber (not very open space) had gained 10 mg. (294mg)

I took lungfull, held it for 40s.
Repeat 3 times.
At 60 seconds (holding the second hit) I began feeling the effects in my body. (Relaxation)

At the 3rd hit, my notebook says: Music modulated ripping of reality, seen from a new dimension. Others and this side. Going away with new reality.

The next note is: 5min - Whaat?! (apparent surprise of timewarp)

Note: 7 min - CEV reality in synch with this side motoric funtions. (turning my head, turned the scene behind my eyes) Took what ever was left in the vapourbag. Total 4 large hits.

Conclusion: Most powerful and amazing trip so far but I realize there is much more to come. I am ready and feel comfortable to continue, alas I have no more material for further testing at the moment.

The feeling of others was definite. The music seemed to play a huge part. As if I was moving with it. It is so ‘real’.

I could draw an image of how I saw this reality being a 2D(/3D) canvas and this reality was not the only one. A glimpse of layers of realities similar to this one seen from 5D view. That sounds crazy. The realitys seemed to be like pages of a book. But each page could be 3D, doesn’t that make me to be a spectator on a higher dimension?

The 7min note made me realize how it could be possible to start walking around and be fully immersed in salvia land, if there are some motoric capability left in the subject.
The reality behind your eyes becomes real and if you can move yourself, your body movements could reflects into salviaworld.
Any external input just gets cyphered and its meaning is lost at the same time the input mixed into salvia world.

So I am a little concerned that I need a sitter. However, I feel safe to proceed with these small dosages. I'll report more then.

Edit:
Almost forgot some small bits.
When I felt the presence of others, I had a thought of it being a interconnecting space of salviahead's consciusnesses or something. That is when I had the feeling of meeting other who have been there before, the people who have let go. There I got the feeling of that there is this place where salviaheads meet, then I got the feeling of meeting 'redgreenvines', maybe just because I believe this user has a close connection to salvia. So this might be why I met rgv, nothing personal I guess, coincidence.
[edited the above]

Although, there was no communication just a sensation of being looked at and one of those lookers was 'rgv', there were many others too.
At the same time I was being worried of how to remember all this. It was all about a revelation that Salvia can show you something bigger. At the same time I felt exitement, confusion, happyness. I felt that salvia could bring our minds together and that we could meet there.
Feeling of salvia being very powerful and sacred. Something very close . The feeling of others played a big part in these feelings. Like there was a whole town full of these others at the other side. This salvia experience was the connection among these. I felt as everyone should be connected from the real world and to experience this. They are friendly.

I also thought that the things that I saw were projections of my thoughtpatterns. I saw top of a large ball rotating. The rotation changed its direction as these different thoughts were processing.

There a few crazy but very interesting points.

Wholy shit, this paragraph just ran chills down my spine and teared me up instantly. For some reason I had forgotten my last Salvia trip with some 5x that my friend bought, even though I had a horrible trip because he fucked up the atmoshpere. I only just recently remebered that while I was peaking it seemed that with every decision I made I some how invisioned several many outcomes within my mind of how the moment itself was going to play out, but I could see it clearly infront of my eyes as if they were rejecting reality all together and it pretty much force feeding me the diffrent "layers" and "pages" of reality as it was happening and how it can be manipulated.. Like unwritten pages in a book.. and Salvia was writing out the pages and showing them to me.. I felt it sending me a message, im not sure why.. and it was wierd because I can easily remeber thinking of atleast 5 diffrent outcomes so vividly for each moment after moment, second after second... To this day im still blown away that my brain was capable of compressing so much information in such a small amount of time... Its hard to explain, but it was simply amazing.. Even though that night I had a horrible time while doing the Salvia, I had a wonderful time while the Salvia was doing me. Thanks for reminding me about that.. I think I forgot because I was a little stoned that night also... but what can ya do? Kudos to you my friend on your Salvia experiences.. I need me one of them vaporizormabobbers.

Mescaline man, im in need!!!

Thanks Tom!
Sounds amazing. I wonder how this image makes you feel, if at all.
It is a picture that tries to resemble what I had a glimpse of, 'the layered realities'.

You're a regular herb scientist! Wow, you can make money off those inventions! lol

I believe with the advent of acid we discovered new way to think and it had to
do with piecing together new thoughts of mind. Why is it that people think it's
so evil? What is it about it that there is scares people so deeply? Because
they are afraid that there is more to reality than they have ever confronted.
That there are doors that they're afraid to go in and they don't want us to go
in there either because if we go in, there we might learn something that they
don't know. And that makes us a little out of their control.

Hi,

long time since last Salvia diary update. Yeah, I am about to continue experimenting. I have grown a stash of leaves for these couple of years. All this time I have been avoiding / prograstinating the experiments.

What I read here is a nice refreshment of my memory and somehow sets me back to the moments back then.

I haven't been following the forum lately and I wonder if "redgreenvines" is still around. Somehow he/she is imprinted in my salvia experiments. I wonder how you are doing? I recall you as an experienced and a heavy user of some sort. You used it also before a painting lesson? I recall such a positive effect for artistic activities, it relaxed me somewhat. Do you agree?

Yes, this is a sort of a "stoner rambling"-message, but also moving me along the path of options towards these exiting experiments.

questions for your opinions:
- do you think I should begin from start or continue where I left? Because of this long time, maybe the reverse tolerance is decreased?
- should I crush and mix all my leaf material to standardize the stash?
