Is galantamine possibly harmful for ur BRAINN... BRAINNNN ZOMBIEEEEESSS ZOMBIEEEE AAAAAAAH

But seriously is it bad for ur brain? I've been looking for ways to improve my dreaming. Acetylcholine caught my attention and i was wondering about ways to increase Choline levels.
Galantamine seems to be effectively useless since to my mind it increases acethylcholine but at the same time deprives its precursor choline. (Also , i'm thinking too much acetylcholine may be very harmful)

My familiarity with galantamine is quite limited, but as far as I know there is nothing in the literature which states that it causes brain damage at recommended dosages, quite the contrary actually, there are many references in the literature which show that galantamine has a very positive effect on damaged brain cells.
“The most compelling insight of that day was that this awesome recall had been brought about by a fraction of a gram of a white solid, but that in no way whatsoever could it be argued that these memories had been contained within the white solid. Everything I had recognized came from the depths of my memory and my psyche. I understood that our entire universe is contained in the mind and the spirit. We may choose not to find access to it, we may even deny its existence, but it is indeed there inside us, and there are chemicals that can catalyze its availability.”

Isn't it just so that galantamine helps in reducing alzheimer's symptons but does nothing whatsoever in terms of actual healing? I am certainly not a doctor and i don't understand much of anything really. But I've read somewhere that most people cancel their Galantamine prescription because the side-effects are too much to handle. And i've actually seen it referred to as a "poison". The way i understand it is that Galantamine will slow down normal metabolism by blocking enzymes whose job it is to recycle Acetylcholine. This will result in higher Acetylcholine levels but less of it's precursor Choline. (Making it harder to produce more Acetylcholine? Dunno if this is harmful.) You are also left with more Acetylcholine in ur brain than usual. Which could potentially (idk) be harmful. Especially in combination with sports?

When i outweigh the pros and cons i'd still use galantamine once in a while for its effect on dreams. Out of curiousity i'm still puzzling about the potential health benefits or drawbacks. Any info is much appreciated. Smile
