DMT is one of the psychedelic entheogens that I have not had the pleasure of trying (yet). However, I am quite experienced in psilocybin mushrooms and have found them to be an invaluable, unique tool in truly penetrating my conscious mind and perceiving myself and the world around me in a more objective fashion; the results of years of psychotherapy and psycho pharmacology are dwarfed by the five or six hours of a single trip. I am currently writing a trip report of my last encounter with psilocybin, which I hope to share here soon in the hopes that others will be able to relate to my experiences.

After browsing the forums for a couple weeks before making an account and making some posts, I've come to realize that the members of DMT Nexus seem to be a little higher up on the maturity level than those of other related message boards (not indicating any specifics), making me believe that most of you use DMT for purposes other than getting as messed up as humanly possible. That being said, what is your reason for the ingestion of DMT? Do you feel that you've discovered things about yourself that have been latent and impossible to access? In the few minutes of the substance's effects wear off, do you feel like you've come out of the other side having learned something new?

Having never used DMT, I'm curious about what one can learn from it. Thanks.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

I never know just what I'll gain by experiencing DMT, but I always gain something. The experience itself is so incredible that after dosing I always feel lucky to have been able to experience it.

After a particularly powerful experience I have an afterglow that lasts for months. I feel a deep sense of peace that stays with me.

I learn much about my mind/consciousness and try to apply what I learn to my daily life.

Most of all I would say DMT has given me a hunger for knowledge! The experience begs to be explained and it also taught me that there is MUCH that I don't know, coupled together it leads me to knowledge binges on an array of subjects.

I never know what I'll gain, but DMT has much to offer and I am privileged to have access to such a powerful tool.
The inner soul is full of joy. Reveal my secrets and sew me whole. With each day, "I" heeds your call.
You may not care the slightest and may not be the brightest, but from here "I" sees you're mighty for you created it all.

And the jumbling sea rose above the wall.

Through this chaos comes the order you enthrall.

I don't do it nearly as much as I used to. I've learned alot, and many of those lessons stick with me...there's no turning off channel-dmt for me anymore. That realization of something deep within me, that sacred aspect of myself...it's always there now....that realization.

Obviously I did it outa pure exploration of myself and/or reality in the beginning, but after having learned some heavy lessons I really need to evaluate why I use it now (as Gibran has said).

Every time I do it, the message becomes increasingly more clear and "in my face"...each time significantly more shocking than the last.

I'm searching for answers; about my life, my personality, my consciousness but also about the world as we perceive it. DMT takes you to a place where, if you look hard enough and long enough, you just might find some of those answers.

Some interesting answers there. I think those same people might give different answers now Smile

Yeah, I've had a bad habit of not using the search function/reading the FAQ. Gotta start doing that.

Thanks! Smile
